Where did you go, was it fun, is an ocean view in your cabin really worth the extra money or is it best spent elsewhere?
My destination is the caribbean, anyone been there?

If getting on a Boat from Dover to Calais (and vice versa) counts than yes ;D

I went on a Carribean cruise last May, and the ocean side room is a pretty good bonus, but I wouldn't call it an absolute necessity either.

My family and I have sailed on the Disney Cruise Line twice.
First year we did it, we paired it with a resort stay: four days at the parks, three days on the ship. Our stops were Nassau in the Bahamas and Castaway Cay--a Disney-owned island.
We decided that three days just wasn't enough, so for the next trip we sailed for a full week. Stops included Key West, Cozumel, and again, Castaway Cay.
For both trips, we got a room with a private verandah.

I've only been on one cruise in my life. I forget the name of the ship, but it was a three-day Caribbean voyage. Since then, I've made it a goal to do it again, but for it to be longer - five or seven days instead. Three days just isn't enough. Great food, tons of stuff to do, fantastic locations like Jamaica and the Bahamas. Loved every minute of it.

A five day cruise is a pretty good amount of time that should leave you satisfied. We took a seven day cruise last May, and it was pretty damn good, but by day seven, you'll probably be sick of the boat at that point.

Went to Bermuda about 6-7 years back. One of my favorite vacations ever.

A friend of mine has talked about how fun it would be. I see they have a KISS Kruise now, and they are all on board doing some obscure songs, which would be really fun.
The Bruise Cruise was a great concept too, I wish someone here had gone.
I'd like a Love Boat cruise. Not looking for love, but it'd be great to have people from old tv shows and movies wandering around all the time

I went on a cruise once. I had to stay in the lower class cabins but I met a girl on the upper class deck and we just hit it off. She actually let me paint her naked!
It was a hell of a trip, too bad things didn't work out in the end.

Yep. Senior Trip. We went to the Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico. Probably would have been a little more fun if the other kids that went were into partying.

Just got back from one a few months ago. It was great. We had a private deck which was very nice. The wife and I hung out there at night, drinking wine and relaxing in those nice robes they give you.
We went to the Caribbean. We stopped at Half Moon Cay, Grand Turks, and Nassau. We both didn't really like Nassau. It would have been better if we had remembered more cash and gone to Paradise Island.

Went with family a few years back, except for crew there weren't really any women under 50 so we ended up watching the tribute acts twice each night (which were pretty good) and drinking excessively in the club which was mostly populated by us. Still, no queues.
If you're going to the Carribean watch out for the taxi drivers - they'll be on you as soon as you're off the boat and to say the word "no" isn't in their vocabulary would be a bit of an understatement...

The best cruise I have been on was last year in French Polynesia on a Windstar cruise. Really enjoyed the upscale intimate atmosphere without the pretentious dress codes. Good casual attire is all that is required which made everything very relaxing. i'm glad my gf's parents got money.

Does the Jungle Cruise count in Disney Land & Walt Disney World?
Cause I saw some crazy stuff on both cruises! And the captains were corny as hell!

My family and I took a 7 day Carnival Cruise back in 2008. I can honestly say it was the best week of my entire life.
The boat was full of stuff to do, we had great dinners every night, and best of all, a CASINO.
Nothing better then being on an empty desk at 2 in the morning with a glass of Jack Daniels and a cigar, looking at the stars.

I just got back from a cruise to St. George in Bermuda. I wasn't bad, but not quite all it was cracked up to be either. The days going there and coming back got rather boring because there is not all that much to do on the boat, unless you are willing to spend big money. I wanted to go scuba diving and other such adventures, but they were just out of my price range. That said, I would probably do it again.

went on a 7 day one, Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands area. Whatever it costs to get a window on your cabin, you should do it. Mine had a little balcony outside, with like deck chairs and the like. Was the best part of the whole thing, probably.
