Brooke Hogan acting scared. That should end well. Oh, and to "WWE" myself, my Tweet about Lake Placid 4 and it's acquirement of Robert Englund has been retweeted by the official @syfy account. *Own Horn Blown* For you to really "WWE" yourself, you'd have to beat us over the head with this information until we're sick of it. The Tweet was also retweeted by 8 other people and garnered 4 responses from random accounts! That's more than @randomnonexistantguy has ever received, therefore I'm better! YES! YES! And I have more followers than a random "Official" Twitter account for some crappy Independent film! ...I'll stop now. Oh, in random news: Alice Cooper will appear as himself in the Dark Shadows movie. He'll be performing at a party thrown by Depp's character Barnabus (I think it's spelled that way).

Sorry to double post, but I found this amusing:
I'm watching The Asylum's A Haunting in Salem and there is a pure form of non-intentional hilarity.
The teenage girl of the family moving into the haunted house starts getting mysterious AIM messages. Finally receiving one that reads:
"HELLO ALI!"
She responds
"HOW DO YOU KNOW MY NAME?!?!"
A decent question to ask, I suppose. Except one thing...Her screename? It just happens to be: Ali 17
Out-freaking-standing.

www.blu-ray.com/news/?id=7664Warner is releasing 3-pack Blu-Rays in January. One of them is horror-based. Sadly, it's the awesome Freddy vs. Jason packed with the Friday the 13th and Nightmare on Elm Street remakes. Bollocks.

Jeez, what do people have against the Friday the 13th remake? It's the one franchise PD didn't screw up.

Yeah, the F13 remake is solid when you're watching it, but easily forgettable once it's over.

Pretty much like some of the original flicks if you ask me It helps that I grew up with them, but I can always find something memorable about each of the original franchise flicks. The remake came off like a "Greatest Hits" of the first 3 or 4 original movies, though. So I have to think for a few minutes before anything comes to me about it. *shrug*

In regards to the Friday the 13th remake, this is what came from my scattered mind when trying to remember it.
~ Archery Jason.
~ Random, Extra-Long sex scene that almost made the movie feel like some sort of demented softcore porn.
~The silly "Jason is a pot farmer defending his stash" joke that was ran into the ground, stabbed with a pole that was struck by lightning allowing it to rise solely to be ran into the ground again.
~Jason, the tunnel man. Like an overgrown Caddyshack Gofer with a knife.
~The fact that my easy-to-amuse friend turned to me and said, "Wow, that wasn't very good, was it?"

Watched Neighbor No 13 on Halloween and i seriously enjoyed it. Best way to describe it is that it's a mix between Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde and slasher films like Friday the 13th and Halloween. It also has a cameo by Takashi Miike as a victim of the main character's murderous personality.

I'm a big fan of THE CAR.
And hey, since I'm here, thought I'd share that just yesterday I picked up "Tales from the Crypt: Season 7" and the third (and largely unseen) TFTC movie RITUAL. Might review that in the coming couple of days, maybe.

It's good to see that Zombie is using the same strategy for his film as others. "Pack this sucker with recognizable character actors!"
Sid Haig and Michael Berryman are this films' DDP and Danny Trejo.

I don't know if I should be happy that all these underappreciated actors are getting work, or angry that their abilities will be tainted or wasted by Rob's writing/directing.

I'm happy they're getting the paycheck since I'm used to the crappy films they have appeared in.
That said, I can be happy for them and still disappointed in Rob's efforts, if they do end up being poor.
