Strangly enough I have a t-shirt where Hobbes eats Calvin's intestines. Guess it was made without consent. Anything with them on, literally anything, that isn't just a compendium of the comics, is fake.

He's the mirror opposite of Jim Davis Considering that we've seen two bad Hollywood films, a lackluster animated program, countless bad video games, and appearing on various Meijer products from ice cream and cookies to baby products (actually the only good investment) with the fat tabby, that can be the case. Yeah, Watterson did end it because he wanted it to go out on a high note and not want it to get mired. In a way, it reminds me of that deleted animated clip of "The Simpsons" where we see two examples of the extremes of this spectrum (merit vs. money). On the one hand, they was talking about "The Cosby Show", which ended at the height of its popularity, and then Bart Simpson talks about "running his product to the ground for all its worth" which has easily been the case with the show for the past decade or so. But comparing comic strips to prime time TV are different things.
