Regardless of the source, both criticisms are valid. However the problem can be attributed to booking/creative just as much (if not more). Maybe if Beth/Nattie win a match against someone above the level AJ/Caitlyn are currently on, they'd be taken seriously. Maybe if Divas in general were given more than 5 minutes a week, they'd be able to show some skills. Now if they're given an honest opportunity to shine (which they seem to be on PPV) and still suck ass, it's all on them.

I'm skeptical that it's her real Twitter account. As far as I know, she legally changed her name to Chyna in the last couple of years. And she usually just goes by "Chyna" now instead of "Joanie Laurer".
And Chyna has no room to judge anyone, she's embarking on a career as a stripper (she's going on a feature dancing tour with pornstar Mary Carey in October).

Chyna is one of the most overrated people in the history of wrestling. Yeah, she came first, but she couldn't wrestle, she couldn't talk, outside of the impressive bod, she had shit going for her.

What everyone else said. First off, Nattie's in no way a Chyna-copy; Chyna knew all of, what, three moves? Nattie's major selling point is her technical ability; yeah, she has power, but her primary abilities revolve around submissions. And the mere fact that Beth Phoenix rarely strays out of the Divas division and actually has a moveset makes her not a Chyna copy.
Second, the whole modeling thing. SHE DID PLAYBOY! The problem isn't wrestlers that model, it's models that can't wrestle. Pretty much every Diva outside of Luna modeled during the Attitude Era (or maybe she did, I dunno), so the idea that some photoshoot is harming the business is malarkey. Now, as far as charisma and effort goes, I somewhat agree. No one can tell me Eve isn't putting forward effort, though, and K2 may be showing a little more than we know. But when you book a division as less than an afterthought, you can't really be shocked that they can't get over and that no one cares. Hell, if they can make people believe that Trish Stratus is the best Divas wrestler ever, then surely they can make people care about a Divas match, if they put forward the effort.

So if this is indeed Chyna: I actually somewhat agree on the Kelly/Eve point. I think Eve does try hard, but things aren't clicking yet; with time and more effort I think she could be solid. Kelly should try harder. The Beth/Natalya part I'm not in agreement with. I don't know what she means by "loudmouths with no new material or formula", but anyone who says that someone is "ripping them off" or whatever needs to take their head out of their arse. Pretty much every Diva outside of Luna modeled during the Attitude Era (or maybe she did, I dunno) Somewhat surprisingly, Luna did both Playboy AND Hustler. |

Still, if Joanie Laurer really sees herself as the biggest female star WWE produced, then she's obviously delusional. Trish Stratus has completely eclipsed her, both inside and outside the business. The only people that still think Chyna is the bigger star are the people that believe Austin is still bigger than Rock. In other words, the people that still live in 1999.

Regardless of the source, both criticisms are valid. ONE of them is. Calling Beth a knockoff of Chyna is the stupidest thing that's ever been said though. Beth's moveset isn't magical but it's bigger than Chyna's ever was. And how can Chyna talk about no modeling when she did a Playboy shoot? |
