I'm not blaming Triple H... I'm just pointing out a hole in the writing here... I understand that wrestling storylines are never going to be Oscar-calibur, but they can try a little harder to be sometimes. This is the streak we are talking about here.

To their credit, the commentators did question who would make HBK the ref during Raw and said, if I'm not mistaken, that there was almost no way that Laurinaitis or Long could be behind it. And, in my mind, the guy behind it is Vince (in kayfabe he's still the Chairman and CEO of WWE, he just no longer in charge of Raw) and he'll be the one who announces the GM match for Wrestlemania.

You're right, Vince is still the Chairman he's just not in charge of day to day operations anymore. Kind of makes me wonder what he is in charge of then, but whatever. Somebody even mentioned Vince being in charge in a promo recently, can't remember who, and my first reaction was "woah, kayfabe!", then I realized they didn't say anything wrong.

I don't think the match needs Shawn in it, but I'd be lying if I didn't mention that this stipulation has peaked my interest. Maybe Shawn will beat up another cameraman inside the cell!!!!!
