It's fascinating seeing how many different ways of taking and selling the Stunner there are. Billy Gunn's way looks pretty good! And The Rock always deserves a mention!

I may be in the minority but Benoit and JBL had pretty awesome sells for the Stunner despite how they took it.
Great video, I loved it all.
Edit: D'Lo and Foley were both really great at taking/selling a Stunner as well. Now Donald Trump, he was awful but I think his hair fought off Austin.

Kurt Angle's selling is pretty awesome!
Also I love that one of the Stunners on Mankind is ON A CHAIR! A Stunner on a chair... almost as excellently pointless as the GTS through a table that we nearly got at Extreme Rules last year.

I will forever love the way Rock sells the stunners, it just works. Half of the Rock one's I saw in the package I haven't seen in years (except from the classic Mania one's). So thank you for making such a good collection. Shout out also for Jericho, Shane O Mac, Val Venis, Angle, Kane, HHH for also having masterful sell jobs. Molly Holly also took it like a champ, pretty much the opposite of Steph and Linda Bischoff, Coach and Gerald Brisco were also great. Brisco's selling was unique...he flipped over Austin everytime.

Agreed on all of them as well. I also love how Heyman sells it by hopping away from Austin at the 04 Rumble. Its crazy how non wrestler on the roster over the years are able to take the stunner so well. On a side note, Id love to see how Ziggler, Bourne, Hunico and Daniel Bryan would sell a stunner

Austin just tweeted your vid man. Awesome! I picture Austin sitting back with a case of light beer watching all 24 minutes over and over again. Great job odor31!

Yeah that must have taken some serious work, hopefully recognition from Austin himself makes it worth it! Thanks odor

odor31, someone really likes your work. I tweeted the link and included your name, and got this response (WrestlePassion is me):

Sgt. Slaughter deserves a mention for making it look like the Stunner snapped his neck off.

Sgt. Slaughter deserves a mention for making it look like the Stunner snapped his neck off. His was my favorite sell aside from Hall's. I bet that was an amazing nostalgia trip for Austin to watch. And it must feel really cool knowing that your video probably made his day.

I used to take it like I was being yanked down by my head, Then I would snap back into a bump. I can't think of anyone else who took it the way I did so I can't give an example. I always felt weird jumping and bumping on my knees. Yanking on my neck doesn't effect my knees in a real fight so I took it king of like a standing neck breaker.

I tried to count all of the Rock stunners but I lost track I think it was either 24 or 19. The Vince ones made me laugh the most. I'm amazed that Val Venis got stunned so many times, since he wasn't a main eventer, and it is interesting how many people did the "spit beer" sell.

I always liked that style because, as you said, why the hell would you bump to your knees?

It's amazing how some people seem incapable of selling that move correctly at all and how others just bounce around like superballs or something, seems to be hard to get that move to look like death without being too comical.

I love this move so much. It lends itself to so many variations for selling it.
I actually dislike the Scott Hall sell, and think the Rock sells are a little over the top too. But great fun, as in my sig.
My favorite sells are Triple H, Kane in 98 and Foley. Their sells genuinely look like Austin has brought their jaw crashing down into his shoulder blade and then they just slam off to the side in pain.
The best stunner ever is Austin's stunner in the cage on HHH in the 3 stages of hell match. It looked lethal.
Also RVD sold a stunner like a champ in 2001.

I always liked that style because, as you said, why the hell would you bump to your knees? can't find an example of benoit taking it but he was the first guy I thought of. Basically I stayed flat foot on the mat, bending at the waist. When the guys ass hit the mat I snapped back into a bump and sold my throat. The only time I ever took the bump on my knees was when I was doing a back flip over the guy and he caught me with a stunner when I was in the air.
