I love this Mania. A great card and it delivered. Vince/Bret is a little disappointing, and the diva's match was generic as hell.
BUT, Cena/Batista was pretty damn good, I actually love Edge/Jericho, HHH/Sheamus was pretty good as well, MITB was decent, a bit of a clusterf*** but not so bad. I actually think Taker/HBK 2 is better than 1. At WM 25 the match started off slow and than built to the excitement, at 26 it started with a bang and continued that bang.

I thought the show was good. The card was absolutely stacked, almost too stacked. They had ten matches though and a few got cut too short. Even Cena/Batista was quite short considering the way it had been built up.
I still enjoyed seeing Bret/Vince despite it not being a very good wrestling match.

Well Most of the matches were underwhelming save for Taker/Shawn II Plus who can forget Vickie Guerreros Hog Splash?

I didn't think it was bad. But aside from Undertaker/HBK, nothing felt really special. Cena/Batista, Punk/Rey, Edge/Jericho, HHH/Sheamus were all good matches and Bret/Vince served it's purpose. But after I finished watching it, I felt like I had just watched a four hour RAW. Which is how I've felt the past 3 WrestleManias have been: just a long episode of Raw in front of a huge crowd.

I enjoyed the show for the most part. I wish they had shaved 8 or so minutes from the Bret/Vince match and given it to Punk/Rey though. Edge and Jericho was kind of boring too which was odd, but I don't hate the match or anything.

One of the best build-ups in recent Wrestlemania memory, in my opinion. Sure, Hart/Mcmahon was given a bit too much time that could have been given to Punk/Mysterio, but nobody's saying it was perfect.
And considering all the criticism they get about their work rate, the Cena - Batista match absolutely blows me away.

One of the best build-ups in recent Wrestlemania memory, in my opinion. I'll go ahead and say it's THE best Mania build of the past 10 years. Every match had a purpose and was set up at least weeks in advance. Jericho-Edge was built ever since his injury the previous summer. Cena-Batista had a brilliant build of "why are YOU the face of the company." which could only happen once a "generation." I think (honestly) the lack of celebrity involvement takes away from the WrestleMania feel of it. On paper, as it's been said, it was the best possible card they could have had and made people ravenous for a top-to-bottom unpredictible wrestling show. I have to say, I watched this at a party without sound so the Hart Family siding with Bret during the Vince match worked much better a as reveal rather than Bret spoiling the twist pre-match.

Stacked card, AMAZING build; followed by a show where everything felt oddly rushed and somehow tame for 'Mania, and therefore was underwhelming, especially given the expectations.

Just looked up the length of the Bret/Vince match to find it was over 11 minutes. I know it felt like an eternity but I assumed it was actually under ten. They really screwed up the payoff with that match. There was no need to get the Hart family involved for that stupid and predictable turn. All the match needed was Bret savagely beating Vince for maybe five minutes, finishing with a Sharpshooter.
