The only real progress was the opening segment and even that was thin; Do they even realise that Wrestlemania is two weeks away? Yeah, that is why they go into filler mode. They don't want to take any unnecessary chances prior to Mania. Seems like this is the 4 or 5 year of it. Hell, only RAW will be a full show next week as well, SD will most likely be one match and a bunch of stuff from Axxess. There's playing it safe and then there's doing basically nothing.

Khali being in a WM match is criminal. So many more worthy guys being left out. Can't wait for him to take 4 minutes hobbling down that long entrance way..l

Actually... this is the most disinterested in WWE programming I've been in a long time. I haven't been interested in that much of anything on Raw OR Smackdown lately. It's sad.

Last year's pre-Mania Smackdowns weren't that much better but at least the world title match had some kind of tension that didn't revolve around a third party.

I'm glad that despite being a former US Champion and one of the few credible faces left, Long still needed to be convinced for Ryder to be on his team.

Dark Match 1. John Cena beat Kane in a cage match. Cena came out with Zach Ryder and Tony Chimmel. They clowned and joked around with the crowd about Lilian messing up for a few minutes before re-announcing Zach Ryder. Lilian said she messed up because he is hot. Funny. Kane came out. A lot of brawling and an early escape attempt by Kane. There were "Cena sucks" and "Let's go Cena" chants the whole match. Cena won with the Attitude Adjustment in three minutes.

I love how Vince is letting Cena wrestle all these matches after a car accident just two weeks from his bigger match ever. The chances of him getting hurt are clearly non-existent.

Khali shouldn't be on Team Teddy. They should've given that spot to one of the NXT/Superstars guys. I don't think credibility matters because Team Teddy is SUPPOSED to be the underdogs going into this match. Also with Ziggler on Team Johnny, who would flop around like a fish for the Brooklyn Brawler, they could afford to put one or two lowercard guys on Team Teddy.

I understand why Khali is there, with the big Indian following and the need for someone big to counter Henry, but he doesn't bring a lot to the table beyond that. Unfortunately, the only face left that is consistently over and isn't injured is Riley, and he's hardly on TV anymore.

Y'know thinking about it, I kinda feel the same way. I'm excited as hell for Cena/Rock, Punk/Jericho, and even Taker/HHH, but this trend of filler shows with little to no story advancement is boring as hell. That'll teach you to book a match a year in advance, WWE.

Ok, WWE guys that probably read this. Don't bitch about the Rock bumping people off card because he generates buys and interest and isn't in a match one of the guys left of could be in, complain about Khali being on Team Holla Holla when that spot could've gone to a mobile under/midcard guy that could actually benefit from the match.

Khali > Brodus and Ryder

For all the complaints about it, I'm having a hard time thinking of other babyfaces on the active roster who'd be better fits for this spot than Khali.
There's Brodus and possibly Bourne (depending on if they feel he really deserves a 'Mania payday after two suspensions in the last few months), but everyone else is just enhancement talent.

I just came back from the show, and it was actually a very good Smackdown, at least from being there live. Crowd was on fire all night, the matches were decent, and had a surprise Cena match after the show.
My GF's never seen Ryder, Cena, or Punk live since we haven't had a Raw show in a while, but tonight killed all 3 birds with 1 stone.

Eve Torres blew off Zack Ryder backstage. I hope Ryder yelled "Woo Woo Woo!" when he finished.

Unfortunately, the only face left that is consistently over and isn't injured is Riley, and he's hardly on TV anymore. You mention Riley, and he actually would've been the perfect guy to counter Henry. They didn't really need a big guy. Even though Riley's on a losing streak, he's beaten main eventers before, and he's the kayfabe reason Ziggler & Swagger were forced to unite when they previously hated each other. Sure, he's on a big losing streak, but he's the kind of guy that I can see getting the hot tag and cleaning house. Plus it would've been a good "Holy S**t" Moment if he managed to get Henry up for the TKO.

Why exactly are we supposed to cheer for Team Teddy?
It's like, consisted of the most annoying wrestlers on the roster (I do like Santino and Zack but I know some here don't) and kayfabe-wise, Teddy is an awful GM and on top of that, has no personality at all. In fact, Teddy has come across more as a heel in this feud than Mr Excitement, especially with his cowardly slap-and-run tactic from Raw.
