I liked his look, man did he look bad ass. I'm intrigued by the mist claw, but I think it would look better if he spit red or green mist into his hand first instead of clear mist.

Slow and plodding? Yes, that was the point. He doesn't have to move for anyone. No crowd reaction? Umm... A-Train chants. Boring match? Not really. It was a thorough dismantling. Again, he doesn't have to move for anyone. Riley a bad choice? Again, no. Riley sold that beating really well, which is the ONLY thing they need for his opponents to do at this time. Am I the only one that remembers how over Riley was directly after his run as Miz's bitch? Bourne would have definitely been a better choice, obviously, but you work with what you have.
I'm interested to see where this goes. With Excitement's "natural disaster" line to punk I'm hoping it's foreshadowing at least a match or two with Tensai rather than Lesnar.
Which, if you think about it, is probably one of the reasons they both came back on the same night. What was Laurinaitis talking about? If it had been only one of them you'd know exactly what was up.

I thought Tensai worked and looked great (That Stalling butterfly slam was insane.) I think it was the Office who dropped the ball. I mean, they debuted him coming out of commercial. It was just a bad spot for them to debut him in my opinion.
Why not give him the Lesnar debut, meaning why not have him just interrupt matches like Lesnar did when he debuted, get some aura around him.
I didn't really pay attention to his music, but I liked his look and I thought the crowd did get into it a little bit, though as many have said, the squash ran a tiny bit too long.
Next week, they just need to tighten the whole presentation a little bit (maybe put a good seller in his warpath) and we'll be good.

Am I the only one that wants to see a Tensai/Brodus match? If just to give Brodus an experienced big man to work with? Brodus: "I want to squash Heath Slater!" Tensai: "No, I want to do it!" Instant feud.

I get what you're saying about him "not having to move for anyone", and you're not wrong, I just think it's the wrong way to DEBUT a guy. His debut match shouldn't have been a slow, deliberate deconstruction of a guy. He should have come out like....well, a disaster, and put a HURT on Alex Riley as fast as he could. Keep the KO ending, I like that, but just faster paced. They weren't WRONG to debut him the way they did, I just think it should have been less deliberate, and more intense.

I didn't mind the slowness so much, he can be a different kind of bad ass, like Jason Vorhees or something.
Like, no matter what he's gonna get you.
I'll just say I'm intrigued as to where they can take a guy like this.

I agree with people who say the squash was too slow. But I enjoyed it nonetheless.

They should have waited until Smackdown I agree. Was he over? Yes. he got a nice welcome back chant. But his debut was just over shaddowed by Lensar's return. I liked the look. He'll be fine in the long run.

I agree with people who say the squash was too slow. But I enjoyed it nonetheless. I liked it. It sold Tensai as a methodical destructive force. A man who takes his time in dissecting his opponent and prolongs his opponent's agony.

new name...new tattoos....same reaction Pretty big "WELCOME BACK" and "A-Train" chants, then a mega "OHHHH" for his splash? Yeah. This crowd was expecting death and destruction, and they got a lot of it. But again, the match did go too long. I think having someone else in that position that Riley was in would have been better. It really is important for the jobber to actually be talented. The Barry Horowitz type guy, who is incredible at his job. Or Funaki even, he didn't just keep his job for ages because he had naked pictures of Vince.

I was expecting some big "Welcome back!" chants or maybe "You shaved your back!" or "Where's your back hair?" or perhaps "ALLLL-BERT! ALLLLL-BERT!" chants. I couldn't really make out anything the crowd tried to chant. Overall, I thought the debut could have been better and I was expecting a better reaction from the crowd.

He tossed Kane around like he was a beanbag.

I agree with the general consesus that hs debut should have waited a week: debuting on the same night as Brock Lesnar returning is practically a key to getting overshadowed and forgotten the day after. The new look is not ALL bad, though honestly he seems to have gotten a bit fat. But I think they should have shaved off the beard and moustache-I'm sorry, but the crowd instantly recognized him and no we will probably get "shave you back" chants all over again. And I will go on a limb and predict the inevitable Brodus Clay feud.

That said, it was a heel slowly beating up a face. That doesn't get a ton of reaction in the best of times. That, and he's beating up Riley. Give it a little while.
It's a shame Bourne isn't around, he always made for a great lawn dart to show what a heel could do. Is Baretta injured or anything?

Some should call WWE headquarters:
"Do you have Lord Tensai in a can? Yeah - well you better let him out!"
