People have assumed Katara is Korra's waterbending master. I hope it is actully Aang and Katara's daughter that is her waterbending master. Well Korra did always refer to Katara as Katara, she never refered to her as master Katara, so there. Unless Korra is so ill mannered.

So, my question concerning the identity of the bad guy...I know Azula went mad at the end of the original series, and I haven't read any of the comics...but what chance is there that psycho firebender would have had a kid...before the father got burnt to a crisp? If I were the son/daughter of Azula, I'd sure as hell hate benders too.

Also, only one of the comics has come out so far, and Azula hasn't popped up yet. Think the next edition is due out in May.

Besides Katara & Aang's daughter is named Kya (after Katara's mother).

That, and I am having a really hard time seeing Zuko letting Azula out of prison at any point of her life, even if she wasn't executed.

I think the ONLY way Azula would be let out is if Aang used his energybending on her to remove her bending as well.

I think the ONLY way Azula would be let out is if Aang used his energybending on her to remove her bending as well. And even then, not bloody likely. For starters, she would probably get lynched. Secondly, she is a danger to herself as well as others, bending or not. She was completely deranged by the end of the series.

I just don't get it, every time I re-watch Avatar, I think crazy Azula is better looking than the less crazy Azula.

I have the feeling that Amon isn't going to make it past the first season. They seem to be moving at too quickly a pace with him to keep going for the full series.

Part of me hopes that rings true for the majority of the series. Granted, ATLA didn't exactly drag things out too long, but if LoK aims to keep the audience on its toes, I'm game.

I like the idea of Amon being completely unconnected to the Last Airbender's cast in terms of being related.

So a mugger killed Mako's parents in front of him when he was 8. Where have I heard this before?

It has been confirmed that the whole Equalest storyline will wrap up this season. Season 2 or Book 2 is going to be a whole new plot. Anyway awesome episode. Yeah Mako and Bolan's backstories is a ripoff of comic book heros but whatever. I can't believe the magic turtle shared his secrets with Amon.

I'm very interested in seeing how this arc continues. Non-benders being able to rob people of their bending is a great story point for this series.

Good episode.
So Amon either has an advanced form of chi blocking where he locks their chi up forever, or he somehow learned energybending.
Speaking of, I wasn't annoyed by it last week in the first two episodes, but seeing all of these "special" bending arts from TLA, like metalbending and lightningbending being so relatively common in TLoK kinda irks me. I mean I knew more people would learn them over time, but come on, it use to be a big reveal that a character could fling lightning, but in this episode, people were shooting off lightning like it was no big deal.
In addition, I love how they are doing the previous episode recaps in this series, making them look like old movie clips.
And one final thing, Korra looked absolutely adorable in her flapper hat in this episode.
