...my team of experts have finally managed to calculate the exact number of televised singles matches Kofi Kingston and Dolph Ziggler have had against each other. We lost a lot of good men, but their efforts were not in vain. The grand total of matches is... drumroll... 20! Their first encounter in this epic saga of titanic clashes was on the 23rd of November 2009, and over the last 2 and a half years, these proud gladiators have seemingly crossed paths more than anyone else on the roster. 9 of these bouts have seen championship gold on the line. The current score in the series is Kofi 11 - Ziggler 9... but that will surely be added to sooner rather than later. (Seriously though, I love profightdb.com for stuff like this...)

But this is just singles bouts. It doesn't count stuff like the Triangle Ladder Match with Swagger, or the feud between ZigSwag and Air Boom, or even the time Kofi ruined the double birthday celebration of Dolph and America.
That has to double this figure, doesn't it?

That has to double this figure, doesn't it? Indeed it does. Once you factor in multi-participant match types like triple threats, fatal 4-ways and tag matches, that number rises to... 50! And that's not including battle royals, Royal Rumbles or dark matches.

Holy crap. You could watch one Kofi vs. Ziggler match for each week of a year and just barely finish.
Hell, it would probably go over that fairly easily because you know that match is bound to happen on TV/PPV at least twice in the next year.

That has to double this figure, doesn't it? No I think it does because when I looked up Sting/Muta it did. By the way , Sting/Muta have wrestled 16 times since 1989 in case you were wondering. WOAH I love IWD. I Mean did you know Ric Flair was once in the G1 Climax? Nope neither did I and he even wrestled Chono to a thirty minute draw there.

They'll still probably headline Wrestlemania 33.

The sad thing is I thought it would be much higher than that.

I think AJ Styles vs. Christopher Daniels has them beat though.

I think AJ Styles vs. Christopher Daniels has them beat though. Daniels has turned heel on Styles more times than Kofi and Ziggler have fought.

Was Tyler Reks one of these scientists? He could probably pull that gimmick off.

I bet that if it was possible to factor in house show matches, it would be about 200+. These dudes need some new opponents.

WWE doesn't answer my creative team applications because they know what a genius I am and they don't want me to upstage Stephanie and Gewritz.

What about our old favorite, Cryme Tyme vs. The Hart Dynasty? Does anyone have that photoshopped DVD art of Cryme Tyme vs Hart Dynasty 3 disc set?

Just checked and one more match between Kofi and Ziggler and they're tied up with Cena / Orton, who presently are at 51. And not counting battle royals those two haven't faced each other in fifteen months, though they have tagged a whole hell of a lot in that time.
