For the most part its a good idea to use the name as an advertising thing then trying to make it into ESPN films

As long as MLB Films isn't the one making it, it'll be a good video. That's why I considered "Four Days in October" to be the worst of the original films. Because MLB did it or because it was a bad story? I am not a redsox fan but I love any show or movie about that 04 run because I believe it is the single greatest story in the history of American sports. That situation just doesn't happen, but it did and what it did for generations of fans and baseball cannot be understated Trust me, the level to which it pissed me off and got crammed down my throat by the national media can't ever be overstated.

...And yet no hockey documentary announced. I mean I know ESPN hates it, but it was on your network for 15 years, the least you could do is a documentary on the epic 90s Wings-Avs rivalry or something about the lockout... anything. Please.

I would like to see hockey ones on Canada losing the Jets and Nordiques in back to back years, the lockout or since they like to go sad the guy from the Detroit Red Wings who was in that bad car wreck and was paralyzed. EDIT: Vladimir Konstantinov and he's not paralyzed but suffered serious brain injuries.

A couple I'd find interesting:
- A documentary covering the Bad Boy Piston teams from the late 1980s-early 1990s. Because they were in between the great Magic/Bird teams of the 1980s and the Jordan teams of the 1990s, they're often forgotten when the discussion of all-time great teams are brought up. Yet, those teams were the only ones to knock out Magic, Jordan and Bird from the playoffs while they were all in their primes. You have interesting characters in Isaiah, Rodman and Bill Laimbeer.
- The saga over the murder of the Baylor basketball player, along with the attempted cover-up.
- A documentary maybe shadowing the rise of Peyton Manning and the fall of Ryan Leaf. If I recall, there was serious debate among pundits which quarterback would be better. It's a 180-degree difference in where each guy ended up on and off the field.
- The 1994 Expos and how they may have won Canada its third straight World Series if the strike didn't happen. Heck, maybe tie in the rise of Toronto/Montreal over that three year period. If you just do the Expos one, talk about the strike and how so many of those guys won big down the road for other teams.

Just like the June 14 1994 one, I hope we have one similar to a while back for the day that had the Saints suspensions, Rangers-Caps 3 OT, Weaver no-hitter, Seau's death. That was a surreal day. Add the Papiss Cisse goal to that.

Radio Clash, I can't say I know how that went, as i was deployed and only got to see the games not the aftermath. I always remember that series and WS fondly because of the feel good vine it had. I'm Sorry if they.annoyed you with it because it was such a great story and imo, deserves to be remembered well.

But no, that wasn't a good memory for any Cards fan, just as I'm sure the 2011 WS was a nightmare for Texas fans.

That situation just doesn't happen, but it did and what it did for generations of fans and baseball cannot be understated It's not a bad story, but here were my problems: 1. The original idea of "30 for 30" was to focus on littler things, such as Jordan's minor league baseball career, the life and death of Len Bias being one of the main (and also, final) reasons for the crackdown on cocaine abuse in the NBA, and the impact of Wayne Gretzky going from Edmonton, where he built a dynasty and was treated like a god, to Los Angeles. We've all heard about the Miracle on Ice, Super Bowl III, and the Shot Heard 'Round the World. This was one of those moments. 2. The story is told with bias. For example, "Winning Time" featured Reggie Miller, Spike Lee, Pacer players, Knick players, and various pundits discussing the same thing, and Knick fans got the good ending by mentioning 1999 (a year later, in 2000, the Pacers would defeat New York to go to the NBA Finals, which isn't mentioned). Now, I hate the Yankees (I'm an Astros fan, so I'm going to be intensifying that in a year), but I'm not partial to Boston, either. However, that mentality wasn't used when I approached this. Rather, a good documentary focuses on as many portions of the event or argument. This one just focused on the Red Sox point-of-view. You didn't see any solid footage of Yankees players realizing that they are blowing a series, nor do you see any responses from them when they realized that they made history... on the infamous side. 3. If it was made by somebody else, it could've worked. However, the problem I had with MLB Films was that they wanted to come in on bias and just focus on that moment from the good side, rather than all approaches. Again, Winning Time saw Knick reactions when Miller scored those 8 points in under 9 seconds, which turned what they thought was an easy win to a surprising loss. I didn't want every part to be looked at here, but while it was memorable for Boston fans, who wanted to finally beat New York, it also frazzled the Yankee fans, who felt that was was once a given suddenly faded away. I just wanted to see THOSE faces, the faces of defeat, after their hated rivals finally bested them in the most unlikely of ways. That's pretty much it.

I really hope they do one on the CART/IRL split. A big reason NASCAR became so huge plus it's a interesting yet sad story.

I know that Sports Illustrated did an article about this a few years back, but I would love to see someone do a documentary on Aliquippa, Pennsylvania. For those unaware, Aliquippa is the home of defunct steel mills, a prison, gang activity and a (literally) decaying downtown. It is also the home of such athletes as Mike Ditka, Press and Pete Maravich, Ty Law, Darelle Revis and Tony Dorsett. Aliquippa has one of the best high school football teams in the state, yet only has 465 attending it. While it isn't quite as awful as SI made it appear - they all but called it Pittsburgh's answer to Compton - Aliquippa still isn't the best place it world to be. It would make for an intriguing documentary.

They need to do a documentary about the 2 world series the Toronto Blue Jays won in 92-93 because it was the first of two things.
* First and only times a non-American team won the world series * First (and if I am correct, only) African American manager to ever win a world series (Cito Gaston)

I'd love to see one about when the Bills went to 4 straight Super Bowls
It would be nice to be reminded of a time when the team was good (despite not being able to win the big one)

I'd like something on Prairie View's football losing streak, and froma very personal standpoint I'd LOVE one focused on Magic player Nick Anderson. From being blamed for their championship series loss, to the false rape allegations that followed, and his 1998 miracle of a season for him where he was in strong contention for come-back player of the year. His game-winning shot over the Lakers - and Shaq - is a highlight that I've never forgotten and never will. GIFSoupFailing that, ANYTHING about the Anderson-Penny-Shaq team that was close to being the team of the 90's would be welcome.
