My prefered workout music varies
I only use playlists for when I'm on the treadmill for 10 minutes but as a general rule I like catchy or fast-paced/high intensity songs but I have 12 or so and its a good mix of stuff like Pink, Bon Jovi, Gaga, Lordi etc.
