What do you think is the worst album of 2011? To me, by far it's LuLu. From the angry, drunken ramblings of Lou Reed to James proclaiming to be a table, this album is horrible.

Opeth- Heritage. I was a fan of their old albums but this made me mad. I dont wanna hear 70's sounds in 2011. No more death metal and no good songs. Just crap.

Don't think they're the worst, but James Blake's self titled release and the new Mastadon LP were very underwhelming to me, all in all most of the 2011 albums I've listened too I've tended to enjoy.

Lulu. so bad it almost killed Metallica's momentum after the great Death Magnetic.
also, James is THE TABLE.

This is the first I've heard of this, and it caused me to laugh so loud that the other house occupants came downstairs to check to see if I was alright. This is GLORIOUS.

I pretty much have to say Lulu and that's considering all of the bad RAP albums, which are probably in the millions each year (I say this as a huge fan).

Did Kreayshawn have an album? If so, then that. Discography
2011: Kreayshawn x NatoVatoTaco – Kreayshawn X The Bay (featuring V-Nasty) Technically not albums in the literal sense seeing as to how it's a mixtapes, but, for the horridness that is "Gucci Gucci", I think she has like a lifetime spot on the worst list

Definitely Lulu. Just... what the f***. Didn't Metallica realize going in that Lou Reed likes making intentionally awful music?

All of them!

Seriously though, I was reading the AV section in the Onion and they did the top 20 albums of 2011, and I was stunned how seriously out of touch I am with music today...I only recognized like three artists, one because one was Brittney Spears, and two others (Drake was one) because they were on SNL this year.
Thank God there is a bunch of jazz from the 50s to go discover.

"Take Care" is one of the softest, corniest, Axe body spraying-ist albums of all time. Drake is terrible. A friend of mine described him as the "Grey's Anatomy of rap". Probably he's even worse than that.

Lou Reed has stated that Metallica fans have threatened to shoot him due to the collaboration on Lulu. In response to this and the overall negative reaction to the album, Reed commented, "I don't have any fans left. After Metal Machine Music, they all fled. Who cares? I'm essentially in this for the fun of it." Lars Ulrich also noted the negative reaction to Lulu, and stated that he wasn't surprised by the criticism due in part because, "In 1984, when hard-core Metallica fans heard acoustic guitars on "Fade to Black", there was a nuclear meltdown in the heavy-metal community," and also noted that Reed's poetry is "not for everyone." Talking about the negative reactions, James Hetfield expressed understanding of "fearful people", who are "typing from their mom’s basement that they still live in", stating that the band needed "to spread our wings" and try something new, while Lou Reed stated that Lulu is for "literate people". - Wikipedia
