Rust in Peace - Megadeth Pleasure to Kill - Kreator South of Heaven - Slayer
Bare minimum for thrash in my opinion.
Others though... Abigail - King Diamond Holy Diver - Dio Can't decide on any specific Motörhead album, but Bomber, Iron Fist, or Orgasmatron all are good starters Unleashed in the East - Judas Priest Scream Bloody Gore - Death Seven Churches - Possessed Seventh Son of a Seventh Son, Number of the Beast, and/or Powerslave - Iron Maiden

Here's a bunch off the top of my head before I go to work:
Converge - Jane Doe Cradle of Filth - Cruelty and the Beast Horse The Band - Desperate Living Mastodon - Any album. Dillinger Escape Plan - Ire Works and/or Option Paralysis and/or the Irony is a Dead Scene EP with Mike Patton Mayhem - De Mysteriis Dom Sathanas Satyricon - Volcano Ghost - Opus Eponymous
I'm sure there's more I'm missing, but I just woke up and have to go to work soon.

That is an absolutely classic album that you must listen to. And while not actually metal, Thrice's "Vheissu" was HEAVILY influenced by Oceanic, so if you dig on it, Vheissu would be worth checking out too.

If you like the Spawn comics I'd recomend Iced Earth's "The Dark Saga". If you don't, I'd still recomend it. Damn good album.
