Dan Wetzel says it's now 50/50 who gets in the National Championship game against LSU. Was it enough for the Cowboys? We'll begin finding out in the morning.

If OK State doesn't get in, I want to see Mike Gundy turn into an R-Truth like character where he claims it's a conspiracy by Little Jimmy.

Title game should be LSU/Oklahoma State, but I'm not holding my breath.

I love seeing Sparty get their heartbroken and not just because I'm a Michigan fan. As good of a coach as Dantonio is, he's an arrogant prick who let's his players do whatever the hell they want. Several players on that team have been getting into trouble with the law and causing trouble up in East Lansing and most only get suspended for a quarter of a game if at all.

Well something to keep in mind is how wide the gap was that Oklahoma State had to close. They've clearly swung a good number of voters. That's starting to come across on Twitter right now. But Bama is going to stick close to OKST in the computers (if not staying ahead of them, but I doubt that), so the amount of voters that flip is going to have to be rather large.

How can a team be considered for a National title when they didn't win their conference AND their division?

That whole goal line thing with Honey Badger of LSU doesnt suprise me. I said before this matchup began that the refs were going to make sure that LSU would win because if they didn't, the BCS and to a bigger extent, the ref's employers the SEC would be in a nightmare situation of:
1. Two Non-Conference Champions competing for the National Title with all of the teams who won their conference being left out
2. 3 teams from one conference in BCS Bowls which would be against a WRITTEN rule that states only two teams per conference can be in BCS conferences.

TCU just might get in to a BCS game if they're able to make up 2 spots in the BCS rankings. I forgot they played today, and the ass kicking they handed out to UNLV combined with Georgia and Michigan State losses could be enough to get them to at least #16 and an automatic berth thanks to the Big East's awfulness.
I really think it should be Oklahoma State playing for the championship. Houston blew their main qualification by losing to Southern Miss, while OSU destroyed Oklahoma. Top to bottom I think the Big 12 was the best conference this year.
Southern Miss has to be extra pissed about their loss to UAB now, because if that doesn't happen they have a decent chance of grabbing the automatic berth instead of TCU, as they were climbing in to the top-20 before that game.

Guys, if RG3 doesn't win the Heisman I'm going to punt a kitten off the Empire State Building. He has been the best player in the biggest games in the nation.

How can a team be considered for a National title when they didn't win their conference AND their division? Because they believe Alabama is the second best team in the country, dagnabbit! They refuse to budge from that!

2. 3 teams from one conference in BCS Bowls which would be against a WRITTEN rule that states only two teams per conference can be in BCS conferences. They did away with that rule after the whole Big 10 debacle.

It should be a rule that you have to win your conference title to be in the National Title game, and 2 teams from the same conference, especially ones that played each other already, can't be paired against each other.

This is from a poster named lsumatt on the TigerDroppings board:
I am only sure of one thing: That BCS "experts" Jerry Palm and Brad Edwards will become spineless tonight and change their mind that Alabama is a "lock".
Everything went Ok State's way. Virginia Tech needed to lose and they did. Houston's loss may have even helped. Ok state won BIG which not improved their argument but also should partially eliminate another Alabama ally: Stanford. It is almost definite that Ok State will be a pure #2 in the computers. That means if Ok State can jump Stanford in every ballot, they will only need 25% of voters to put them over Bama. If some voters keep Stanford (and they certainly might) above Ok State, it gets tougher and maybe Ok State needs 30-35% of voters to put them over Bama. I can't be sure what voters, but common sense says that at least some voters put the Big 12 champs who destroyed OU and didn't play LSU yet.
It will be close; no doubt. We should know if they are in or out by tomorrow afternoon. They will need to be within ~30 votes of Bama in the Coaches and about 57 in the Harris. The AP poll will come out first and will be a great indicator. If they are within 30 votes in that poll - watch out.

Plus the payout for the SEC would be bigger if they got 3 teams in instead of one. They wouldn't give two s***s what message boarders and media members were saying about teams not winning the conference playing for the title. They'd be too busy counting their money. If any team would have been getting the benefit of the doubt today from referees, it would have been Georgia. LSU goes to the title game regardless, and they get a third team in.

Because without that TD LSU would have had no chance of winning. It's not like they came out in the second half and decimated Georgia. Also, it's not against a written rule, because the written rule is that if two non-BCS conference champions from the same conference are #1 and #2, then three teams from that BCS conference will participate in a BCS game.

2. 3 teams from one conference in BCS Bowls which would be against a WRITTEN rule that states only two teams per conference can be in BCS conferences. They did away with that rule after the whole Big 10 debacle. Because it's never been done, it would look bad. The BCS is already going to get criticism is it is indeed LSU vs Alabama for the National Title anyway But, add those two elements and it will be a sh**storm that the BCS has not had since LSU/Oklahoma and that one forced them to make plenty of BCS ranking rule changes. You are all looking at it from an inside point of view, I am looking at it from the outside point of view............and let me tell you, a big storm like that might force Congress to actually decide to act.

Okie State's wins over Kansas State and Baylor look a lot better in retrospect.
Other than Arkansas and Penn State, Bama beat nobody better than .500.

Big Ten Championship was the BY FAR the best game this week.
Problem is, the AP poll isn't part of the BCS formula, so that poll won't matter.
