Big Ten Championship was the BY FAR the best game this week. Problem is, the AP poll isn't part of the BCS formula, so that poll won't matter. But it can be an indicator of how the thing will ultimately play out, which is what they're saying. The AP doesn't play a part in it, but the Harris poll usually goes the same way.

I think the fumble by the Georgia guy was the game changer. That set the tone easily for the rest of the game. After that fumble, LSU remembered it was the #1 team in the country and started dominating the game.
Also Congress ain't gonna do shit unless the BCS' practices become criminal. Which some schools already skate, but they have zero authority.

Okie State won their conference; Alabama didn't win their own division.
Okie State won a deeper, better conference; Alabama played in a top-heavy SEC.
Okie State had a better slate of wins (esp. K-State and Baylor); Alabama's only decent wins were Penn State and Arkansas.
Everything should points to Oklahoma State.
If we get the rematch, it's because the voters are like the stubborn, pouty child: "Bama's second-best and that's that!"

I'll worry about tomorrow tomorrow.
Right now I am basking in the glory of OK State humbling OU old country style, and our first undisputed Big 12 title.
I'm on cloud nine right now, so I'm going to enjoy it while it lasts. Tomorrow, tomorrow I'll crash back down to Earth, but for now.....I'm in pure nirvana.

They did away with that rule after the whole Big 10 debacle. Because it's never been done, it would look bad. The BCS is already going to get criticism is it is indeed LSU vs Alabama for the National Title anyway But, add those two elements and it will be a sh**storm that the BCS has not had since LSU/Oklahoma and that one forced them to make plenty of BCS ranking rule changes. You are all looking at it from an inside point of view, I am looking at it from the outside point of view............and let me tell you, a big storm like that might force Congress to actually decide to act. I agree with what you're saying. Just pointing it out. And before I even enter this, I stand corrected. It's still in the written in the rules that only two teams can be selected. I could've sworn I heard differently.

That whole goal line thing with Honey Badger of LSU doesnt suprise me. I said before this matchup began that the refs were going to make sure that LSU would win because if they didn't, the BCS and to a bigger extent, the ref's employers the SEC would be in a nightmare situation of: 1. Two Non-Conference Champions competing for the National Title with all of the teams who won their conference being left out 2. 3 teams from one conference in BCS Bowls which would be against a WRITTEN rule that states only two teams per conference can be in BCS conferences. Because without that TD LSU would have had no chance of winning. It's not like they came out in the second half and decimated Georgia. Also, it's not against a written rule, because the written rule is that if two non-BCS conference champions from the same conference are #1 and #2, then three teams from that BCS conference will participate in a BCS game. You know damn well the blow of the whistle in one play (whether it be at the end or beginning) changes the momentum of the game. That is why people do get upset when someone makes a bad call because that decision actually can effect the entire game.

If the BCS breaks one of their own written rules, along with the snowball of the other criticisms..................Congress just might decide to get involved.

DanWetzel TBoone dropped $275m on OSU. Why not offer $100k to all 115 Harris voters ($11.5m). No NCAA rule against it.
There isn't? I hate collegiate sports.

How does a first half play that, even if it had not been ruled a touchdown would likely still have put the Tigers easily within scoring range, affect Georgia's complete inability to score in the second half? And before I even enter this, I stand corrected. It's still in the written in the rules that only two teams can be selected. I could've sworn I heard differently. I assume that this is about if Georgia had been able to win, then the SEC couldn't send Georgia, LSU, and Alabama which leads to the ref conspiracy against Georgia. If it isn't then I apologize. The BCS rule related to this is: www.bcsfootball.org/news/story?id=4819597

Blow the whistle there and they'll be on the one and will almost certainly pound it in the next play. It was a blown call, but the the INT to the 1 still keeps the momentum firmly in LSU's court.

It really isn't relevant now if 3 teams could have gotten in, ti's such a rare situation that i'd likely never come up again, and it didn't come up this time. I don't see a need to continue to harp on that fact.

Right now Jerry Palm says Bama still looks solid at #2. It would take an "epiphany" from a major chunk of voters to threaten that, according to him. Basically whether the people who have thought for weeks that Bama was the second best team would be swayed by OKST's performance despite Bama not playing to have a loss in the same time frame.

Avoid ESPN right now, they've been pushing Alabama to the BCS title game all day and will be continuing it into tomorrow.

And what was told to you earlier, the rules allow 3 teams from one conference if #1 and #2 didn't win the conference. All I'm seeing is a fan butthurt that his team isn't one of the teams involved. If you had not been here long enough, I would forgive you for this mistake But you've been here long enough to know I am a Florida fan................I HATE GEORGIA. And as far as me being butthurt about it being my team, you've also been here long enough to know that I have proved plenty of time that even if it involved my team being the ones benefitting, if something isn't right..............I will say it isn't right. And on that whole thing, read the post above you to know the written rule is you can't send more than two teams from one conference to a BCS bowl (BCS National Title is a BCS Bowl). To the mods, please delete the statement made by Mr. Beardogg because he is definately trying to provoke someone with critcism that is not constructive. I emboldened and underlined the relevant word.

Everybody cool it. Stick to talking about the football, not about each other.
If someone has the actual line in the BCS rules about the three conference teams being allowed as long as two of them are #1 and #2 please post it so either way we can end this conversation.
