@jmikenbausat #Nets acquire Mehmet Okur from #Jazz for future 2nd round draft pick & trade exception #nba I guess the Brook Lopez problem is temporarily solved. He would make a good 6th man for the Nets once Lopez gets back.

Hearing the C's are after Mickael Pietrus. I have never seen much of him, good fit? Will he see much play?

Hearing the C's are after Mickael Pietrus. I have never seen much of him, good fit? Will he see much play? depends on which Pietrus you get. He was very underrated on Golden State's playoff team a few years ago as a defensive player, then he sucked the next year. Then he was huge for the Magic in their 2 playoff runs then he sucked.

Listening to David Stern on a radio interview, he said Dan Gilbert's "passionately written e-mail" was sent to him hours after he decided not to go forward with the CP3 > Lakers trade. He didn't read it until the morning after.
In his comments, it sounded like he was giving Gilbert a number of backhanded compliments. Doesn't sound like Stern likes Gilbert too much lol.
He also said he will not veto any Dwight Howard trade is it isn't his business. He said his dealings with Chris Paul were done as owner of the Hornets, not as NBA Commissioner.

According to ESPN.com, Eddie House has been waived by the Heat, and rookies Terrel Harris and Mickell Gladness are now part of the 15-man roster for Miami. I'm surprised House got cut, since he has the ability to make clutch shots when it counts, but I'm glad they kept Harris cause his performance has been very good from what I've seen in the 2 preseason games. As for Gladness, he's not bad for an emergency back-up Center, which is what they need in case Eddy Curry gets injured.

Hearing the C's are after Mickael Pietrus. I have never seen much of him, good fit? Will he see much play? Pietrus to Boston is confirmed. He won't play against the Knicks on Sunday but should be available against Miami. Decent wing player with athleticism. Known as a good defender that can hit a three from the corner. Not sure what he still has left in the tank, but given the circumstances (Green) and the alternatives (Posey), this is as good as they could do in such a short time frame.

This is the most optimistic I've been about the Knicks since 1995. Go New York, Go New York, Go!

Also, Thunder have waived Nate Robinson.
Sad to see him go, but then again, considering our MASSIVE depth at the 1 and 2, it would require several injuries for him to have any significant playing time outside of garbage time, so I guess it is better in the end for Nate to let him go to a team that would have better use for him via lack of real talent depth at the 1 or 2.
Best of luck to Nate, hope another team picks him up soon.

So, will we do the WCWBA 1998 thing or not?
Also, requesting to rename next thread "Welcome Back, NBA" or "Starrcade NBA Style"

Manu Ginobili said he isn't likely to retire after his contract expires after the 2012-13 season, and he has no interest in playing for any team other than the Spurs.
