The Power Plant was a friggin joke. Goldberg was the biggest star they ever produced-a guy who, according to Raven, absolutely REFUSED to learn how to sell or do basic stuff. I don't recall the exact quote but someone asked Molly Holly about the Power Plant and she said something like it was "the place where you do a million squats and people scream at you all day". I always loved the commercials for it because they mention WCW stars will pop in and work with you, but it just showed them kicking their students asses, so my brother and I had a joke "Join the WCW Power Plant and have your ass beat by Sting!"

The Power Plant seemed to have taught mostly endurance and bumping. As far as alumni goes: Natural Born Thrillas Kwee Wee Kanyon DDP Nash 3 Count Shark Boy Elix Skipper Alex Wright Goldberg Jimmy Yang among others... A few good names in there, though how much the cruiserweights learnt there I'd question, but NASH? And about the journalist, Louis Theroux was making a documentary, and asked about wrestling being preplanned, in 1999, and Sarge thought he'd 'prove' how tough wrestlers are.

didn't Adam Pearce recently say that all the footage you saw of guys being worked to the point of puking was just bulls*** for the cameras and that it only happened on days when reporters or guys documenting the school were there? And yet somehow that makes it seem even sadder. For example, the Louis Theroux documentary made wrestling a joke, here, in ENGLAND, EUROPE, for years. How does that bs help you look serious? It makes the business look ridiculous.

Isn't Dwayne Bruce the guy who made a British reporter workout at the power plant until he was physically sick? And wasn't it because he asked a question Bruce didn't like? Yeah, he can go f*** himself. yup wrestling with louise theroux

Not to mention Goldberg was unsafe in the ring, . He only hurt one guy(Bret Hart). Owen Hart hurt one guy too, but you would never call him unsafe because he is a IWC favorite. This is just factually inaccurate. Goldberg injured at least a few guys. Three off the top of my head: Glacier (in WCW) Brian Adams (in Japan) Bryan Clark (in Japan)

I wouldn't say it made wrestling a joke, the only person that comes off badly is Parker, the other WCW wrestlers look good because they get behind and encourage Louis, and the indy guys are just polite and show how tough it can be, since they were open with him and told him about what they did and how rough it is instead of trying to cover it up.

How many guys did the "power plant" produce anyway? I guess they can claim Goldberg, but I doubt they were too important to what made him a star. Mark Jindrak? Said the only Mark Jindrak fan on the board.

Didn't Paul Wrigt/The Giant/Big Show train at the Power Plant?
About that documentary, one of the trainers that come off really well is Harrison Norris. I thought he was a good guy but I looked him up and he's serving a life sentence for holding sex slaves.

Yeah Big Show was at the Power Plant but only fairly briefly, they rushed him up to TV due to his size.
