Honestly, what's the point? OVW doesn't exactly train for backstage activities nor being a GM. Nothing does. Not every problem involved in wrestling can go to development or Japan or whatever and just go "Problem Solved!" OVW will at least give her SOME kind of experience being a GM, if only for the live crowd. I remember when the Miz took over on Smackdown...oi vey, what a mess. She can work with the guys at OVW on developing a character and stuff. Actually OVW will train her for quite a bit in regards to working on a wrestling show. I mean, what's the point of putting someone with zero experience into a job that requires quite a bit of talent/know-how? You say there's nothing beyond "talking and looking pretty," but I don't know man, speaking in front of a live crowd is daunting, especially a wrestling crowd. Any tougher than singing in front a crowd would be, or from the various wrestling shows she's been at, either in the crowd in the back? Or even having a good chunk of your life captured on reality TV?

He'd even done some indy work AND spoken in front of countless live crowds as a public speaker. When he went on Smackdown, he fumbled all over the place. It just seems like a strange move. Why not get someone who has actually hosted something before? Or created characters before? If you're going to pay someone to do a job, they should be good at it already. If she wants to learn, then go to developemental and learn - that's what the minor leagues are for right?

Or even having a good chunk of your life captured on reality TV? I'd be hesitant to bringing up her music career as a means for legitimacy on this level or any level for that matter. Her career as a pop singer flopped. Badly. Opinions on her music may be subjective, true. But commercially, her career went belly up on arrival, even with national exposure on television and Hulk's money backing her every move. The idea was to get people to buy what she was selling (this being her. The image, the music, just her altogether), and she failed at doing that. What can be learned from this is if she was to apply to work for TNA as a consultant as some type without her father being one of the head hanchos there, she'd get laughed out the Universal Studios parking lot, or wherever they conduct major business at in TNA.

I cannot stop laughing at the thought of someone being laughed out of a parking lot. That's hilarious.

Like in an ear piece? Not sure to be honest.

Either way, nothing's gonna be known until it happens and we get some idea how she goes. That way, we can find out if she does have passion for this work, or is more like a summer job to her.

I'm surprised it didn't happen sooner since she was probably getting paid for previous appearances. Something for her to do, makes no difference either way.

There has never been a more appropriate time for that .gif of people leaving the Impact Zone That and the one of Sting sneaking up behind Anderson and yelling "f*** THIS COMPANY!" The two most appropiate GIFS for this news, and they haven't been posted yet. This news doesn't deserve those two GIFS. THAT'S how ridiculously stupid this is.

I really don't get the huge outrage. It's stupid, sure, but is it really that huge a deal or something that's going to eat up tons of TV time? Especially people claiming this is dumber than the Raw thing - the two don't even remotely compare.

Mikey, dude, I seriously think that your non TNA posts are among some of the wittiest on the forum, and I like you for it. And this next post is in no way meant to be flaming or baiting you. But seriously, what's the point of you saying 'Wait and see' on this matter? Because the fact is, when we do wait and see how this whole deal inevitably goes down the crapper (and it will, BIG TIME), you will still find some way of defending this absolutely ridiculous and atrocious decision that Dixie Carter has made.

TNA is going to pretend that she is the most beautiful girl in the world even though Mickie James, Gail Kim, Madison Rayne, Mrs. Tessmecher, Christy Hemme, SoCal Val, Tara, Winter, Rosita and Sarita are much better looking than her. Then Chris Daniels is going to hit on her and try to get into her pants. Garnett Bischoff would then save Brooke and beat Daniels in a love her or leave her match. Brooke will then leave Garnett after she turns heel and starts to date or marry Bobby Roode. The entire knockout division would have Brooke Hogan music as her entrance music to the delight of no one. When her new album is released, TNA is going to push it as if The Beatles released a new album. Even with all of the hype TNA puts in her album the album would still only sell 13,000 copies worldwide.

I was always disappointed that she didn't take the offer from WWE years ago.

Usually, wait and see involves the beginning of an angle or wrestler's career, not before anything is even done. I just want to see more before I jump on either bandwagon. Really, don't get me wrong, I'm not a fan of this decision. This was my honest reaction when I heard the news: But still, I'd like some real insight, not just a usual "It's TNA, so it's dumb" line.
