24 hours removed from Over The Limit, RAW is live from Richmond and, as usual, the post PPV show will try and make sense of last night. The key word being try.
In a twist that even Blind Freddy saw coming (and he's blind), EVPoTR&GMoR&SD John Laurinaitis got assistance from the very man he fired last week, Big Show, and defeated John Cena. As a result, Big Johnny is now in the books as having a pinfall victory over the face of sports entertainment. Laurinaitis is supposedly too banged up to gloat, but his Ace Cabinet of legal advisor David Otunga and executive administrator Eve Torres will certainly wield People Power in his absence if he doesn't.
Big Show will almost certainly have some 'splainin to do as to his actions on Sunday. Is it the reluctant actions of a desperate giant or is it something more sinister? And what will John Cena have to say given that he let his ego indirectly bring out his own demise just like at WrestleMania?
WWE Champion CM Punk is about to enter his seventh consecutive month holding the gold after a wrestling classic against Daniel Bryan, but only by the skin of his teeth after tapping out to the Yes Lock almost simultaneously to getting the winning 3 count. Will Bryan use this as leverage for a rematch? Purists are hoping for yes (yes yes).
COO Triple H is still looking down the barrel at dual lawsuits from Brock Lesnar and Paul Heyman. We'll probably hear about the progress of that tonight.
Being the SuperShow, expect the usual suspects from Friday nights to show up, including World Heavyweight Champion Sheamus, who successfully retained the gold in a Fatal 4 Way match last night, and possibly the new Intercontinental Champion Christian, who returned last night and re-embraced his beloved peeps in the process.
What else happened... Kofi and R-Truth retained the tag bronze. Layla kept the butterfly. Nothing too crazy is expected to happen here.
All this, and Brodus Clay gets closer to a year-long undefeated streak, TONIGHT on RAW!
