The way I see it, with the Heartstrings name if you're gonna seriously use that you better also refuse to call Trixie anything but Lulamoon.

Probably one of my favorite pets. I just love her DILLIGAF attitude and how she actually is a sort of fashion indicator to Rarity.

Opal is by far and away my favorite pet for many reasons. It would be easy to boil Opal down to a pet that comically hates her owner, but there's way more to that relationship than that. In Sweet and Elite, Opal almost works as Rarity's conscience, trying to remind her to work on Twilight's dress and looking pissed at her when she does not do so. Also in Suited for Success, we see her react very differently to the two sets of dresses Rarity makes, showing a bit of camaraderie with her owner.
If you were to strip away the pets from the Mane 6 all together, I do not think Rarity would be the same character she was before as Opal worked very well for her as a foil, and she's really the only pet I can say that about. Not even Angel does quite the same for Fluttershy.

I still think Garfield would love her... ;D

Well, there could be some interesting parallels to Rarity/Opal and Jon/Garfield.
I don't know about a Garfield X Opal ship though. Besides, doesn't Garfield have Arlene for that sort of thing? And Nermal. ;D

Possible thread title for the future - Old Vinyl Scratch.
As for Opal, her jokes end to be kind of hit and miss with me. Sometimes she's pretty fun, others I find her a pretty generic mean cat. Still, she has her moments.

Things are really quiet so doubt I'll be missed too much, but I'm pretty much exhausted so I'm heading to bed.

To catch up....
Sparkler - Love her design and her sarcastic attitude was one of the highlights of the MDW episode.
Opal - Not my favourite of the pets (I don't really like cats in real life) but I do enjoy the "I don't give a crap" face she seems to always wear.

If one takes the Garfield connection a bit further, somepony might make some Rarity without Opal vids.... ;D

There are some scenes from Sweet and Elite and Suited for Success that might be worthy.
Better yet, why not Find a Pet without the pets? That could be the worst trainwreck ever.

In tangentially pony-related news, I've got my TV capture card working and am currently watching Sonic Rainboom on the Hub on my computer! Maybe when new episodes start, I can take some good captures or something.

EOE consider your half of the votes sent in. Hopefully the way I did it makes it easier.
