Warren Zevon's "Keep me in your heart." "Just because I leave don't mean I love you any less."
"I'm so tired of living/but I'm afraid to die/Cuse I dont know whats up there/up beyond the sky"
Billy Shaver's "If i give my soul, will he stop my hands from shaking If i give my soul, will my son love me again If i give my soul, and she knows i really mean it If i give my soul to Jesus will she take me back again

"don't take the girl" That's really all I need to hear. "Live Like You Were Dyin'" reminds me of my brother and "Can't be really gone" do it for me too.

"Between now and then til I see you again, I'll be loving you....love, me.". Why is country music so emotionally manipulative?

Hard to isolate a single line, because every time I hear "Here Without You" by 3 Doors Down, I always remember the Eddie Guerrero Tribute video.

I know it's not really a popular, or "metal" choice.... but I do think "Snuff" from Slipknot is lyrically heavy from beginning to end. The last line of, "If you still care, you'll never let me know" really strikes me as I know a girl who I, foolishly, pursued for years.... it's better that she isn't in my life, and if she misses me or wants to contact me again, it's really better for me that she doesn't. Basically the exact sentiment of "If you still care, you'll never let me know."

When they told you to clear the room, that’s when it hit you/You watched as the caravan took your sweetheart away/The arguments and fights and money troubles seem so worthless /As the kids throw yellow roses on her grave

"Patches I'm depending on you son" always sets me off (from Patches by Clarence Carter)
and
"And no-one sees him talking on the phone" (from Last Game of the Season/Blind Man In The Bleachers by Kenny Starr/David Geddes)

Not really many single lines, but a few verses that get to me:
From "Yesterday, When I Was Young":
There are so many songs in me that won't be sung I feel the bitter taste of tears upon my tongue The time has come for me to pay for yesterday, when I was young
The Hungarian song "Kismadár", the last verse, (very) roughly translated:
The day came when she said goodbye She looked at me, sadly, and was silent I know my words can never reach her But I still call her, hoping she'll return
Tom T. Hall's "Old Dogs, Children, and Watermelon Wine":
Old dogs care about you, even when you make mistakes God bless little children while they're still too young to hate

From Elvis' "Don't Cry Daddy"
"...daddy you still got me little Tommy - together we'll find a brand new mommy."
The visual thought of a little boy looking up at his father and saying that just tears me up every time I hear it - I'm tearing up right now just typing about it.

"I wanted so badly, somebody other than me, staring back at me. But you were gone."
Just a fantastic and pointant look at loneliness via Counting Crows - Time and Time Again.

Not so much an actual Sung line, but the First Minute to "Wish You Were Here" by Pink Floyd....it's what nostalgia and regret SOUND like in a way.....

The book of love is long and boring No one can lift the d*** thing It's full of charts and facts and figures And instructions for dancing But I I love it when you read to me And you You can read me anything

The entire 2nd verse of Carrie Underwood's "Just a Dream". Got me crying on the way to work one day and I ended up with a bloody nose.
