I honestly can't decide. They're all awesome.
Well, maybe not quite. I haven't played Partners In Time, so I wouldn't know about that one.

LotSS is my favorite video game of all time. There were a few times where I passed on sex to replay it.

The only ones I played extesnsively are the first one and TTYD and TTYD is the most fun game I ever played and it pains me to pick it over the first one its just that I have more fonder memories with it because its more recent. I completely skipped the first paper mario since I didnt have a N64.

Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars is the most quotable game of all time.

Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars by a country mile (come on Nintendo/Square-Enix where's our sequel already?) With Paper Mario:The Thousand Year Door, in a close second.

I have yet to play Mario RPG (I know, I know) so my vote goes to Mario & Luigi: Bowsers Inside Story. I'd probably vote that anyway because it deserves more love.

Legend of the seven stars is my favorite but I've never played thousand year door, partners in time or bowsers inside story. Super paper Mario would be #2 with superstar saga close behind

I was happy with Paper Mario, too. But LotSS is too good to even be in the same category.
I remember reading that there was an issue between Square and Nintendo during the production process that led to them swearing off of this game, which is why there hasn't ever been a sequel.

Well with them collaborating on Mario Sports Mix, you never know.

I always heard it was because Square made some sort of exclusive agreement with Sony when they decided to put Final Fantasy 7 on the Playstation. That would explain why there wasn't another Square game on a Nintendo console until FF: Crystal Chronicles on the Gamecube.

I always heard it was because Square made some sort of exclusive agreement with Sony when they decided to put Final Fantasy 7 on the Playstation. That would explain why there wasn't another Square game on a Nintendo console until FF: Crystal Chronicles on the Gamecube. Square and Nintendo had a huge falling out after the SNES. A lot of third parties swore off the N64 due to the limitations of the cartridge format, some of the system's shortcomings, and Yamauchi's extreme arrogance. But Square ended up being the highest profile because of FF7. That's why Square Enix didn't really commit back to Nintendo systems again until Yamauchi had retired from his position as president at Nintendo and Iwata was appointed to start the long, long job of cleaning up all his messes. Of course, it seems Square Enix is perfectly fine with Nintendo now. After all, their highest profile domestic series has been exclusive to Nintendo platforms for a few years now.

Oh yeah, I have to go with Super Mario RPG. Can't get into either Paper Mario or Super Paper Mario, though the M&L games are cute.
Haven't tried Paper Mario 2, but I have a hard time justifying buying it when I didn't like the other two games.

Super Mario RPG is my second favorite game of all time, so of course it gets my vote.
The second place spot is very close between 1000 Year Door and Bowser's Inside Story.

I need to finish Inside Story myself. Stopped playing it after they get out of Bowser's body, since Bowser's so awesome to play as it renders the brothers feeling incredibly boring to use.

That's what I loved about that game. It was the first time Bowser felt like a badass again since the first Super Mario game.
