Wasn't there a cartoon based on the Jem doll? Or was it Rainbow Brite? I think the doll and the cartoon came out at the same time since Hasbro was one of the producers. And it was truly outrageous. Truly, truly, truly outrageous! This is why a good theme is needed, this is a girl's cartoon, clearly, but that opening was so kick ass I had to watch it. And I remember C.O.P.S. too, I had a vhs with the first episode on and wore it out, partly because I was shocked how dark they got with how B.P. Vess gets his power. Anyway, here's another one I haven't seen here:

I don't know how the hell I ended up with a video for this back in the day.

I recently remembered an odd cartoon I used to watch as a child which was about a group of fruit living on an island together.
Can't remember the name of the show but the theme tune just randomly popped into my head a couple of days ago.
Also, midway through posting this I remembered a show about a cop living underwater who used to solve undersea mysteries (It wasn't Sharkey and George though. I'm certain the main character was green)

There are a couple of Nick Jr. cartoons that I remember but I wonder if other people do.

I remember renting that video and hoping it would lead to a full-on x-men cartoon. Sadly, we had to wait until 1992 for that to happen.

That's it! ;D Wow, I couldn't remember the vaguely racist Chinese Oranges at all.

A massive TMNT rip-off, but I remember really digging this show as a kid. Plus the toys were freaking awesome.

This is why a good theme is needed, this is a girl's cartoon, clearly, but that opening was so kick ass I had to watch it. That is why they messed up when changed it to the "Jem's Girl" theme. The lyrics exclude all boys. I heard the writers and producers hated that, but the Hasbro forced it down their throats.

Hell, I just learned that there was a SpaceBalls: The Animated Series. It only lasted one season and was a bunch of lazy TV and movie parodies. But the guy doing the voice of Barf was outstanding. They also got Daphne Zuniga to voice Princess Vespa, since she probably wasn't busy at the time.

Not a cartoon per se but if you watched PBS as a kid in the 90s, then you probably remember this show:
