You guys are talking about human girls with Twilight's personality, right? Or Twilight turned human. Keeping the tail and horn is optional...I'm good either way.

I'd kinda want to stay away from the horn. Don't want to get impaled.

I kinda like how JJ draws Twilight as a human. Almost perfect.

I actually hate when humanized drawings keep the horns and tails on the pony. It ends up in the uncanny valley for me.

"Over A Barrel" had quite a few funny scene (AJ and Bloomberg, Fluttershy is a tree, Pinkie Pie and Rainbow dash in the desert, "You gotta share, you gotta care") and Appleloosa was a nice place, although I would have preferred any other western plot over the cliché "Settlers vd. Indians" plot.
A C+ or 7.5/10 I say.

I actually just watched Over a Barrel on the Hub the other day. It was actually better than I remember it being, and Pinkie is in rare form in this episode. That being said, I agree that the plot was a little too cliched for my tastes, but at the same time, this show is being presented for an audience that is probably witnessing said cliche for the first time, so I can handle it.
That being said, it's good, but not one of my favorites.

The episode introduced us to Appleloosa and was a nice break from Ponyville. There were some memorable moments as well, such as Fluttershy being a tree, Pinkie Pie not knowing when to keep quiet in the desert, Pinkie's song, and RD getting bested by Little Strongheart (though that might just be a personal favorite of mine ). Though I do have one major complaint about the episode. Why the hell was that train being pulled by horses???

There was only one thing that pissed me off about Over a Barrel. And him. And him. You probably know what it is.

They could've used Casey Junior.
Would fit in quite well with his goofy motions and funny whistle.

It just doesn't make any sense, since the train had a conductor, and that every other train shown thereafter don't have horses pulling them.

Maybe the engine was low on power and that was an emergency power source for it.

Little late but what the hell. I liked his other one better. Also, nice touches with Octo-tavia, seapony Lyra, Soarin' with a pie, and Cheerilee still holding on to the 80's. Also, Bon Bon and a taco? And do I see Allie Way? ;D One more thing, who's that pony with the red mane and Trixie's hat?

One more thing, who's that pony with the red mane and Trixie's hat? I'm thinking it's either Braeburn or Caramel, who somehow got Trixie's hat while Trixie got another one.
