I like this new change. By having a site again, the chances of us gaining some great posters has gone up significantly. To me, this seems like a change that should have happened the day that we lost the other site. My only hope is we do not fragment the forums that drastically. Mads has had the idea almost since the separation. These things take time tho. And I wouldn't worry at all about fragmentation. Forum wise the changes will be minimal outside of a new board or two.  |

So, now that we're no longer Crappers, what exactly will be the short name we call ourselves. Fanners sounds a little odd. And Faffers just sounds silly. How about: The AwesoKnights! ;D Nah, I think, for males, Cthulads, and for females, Cthuladies. |

Exactly. Just take solice in the fact that this new site is going to lead to nothing but good things for the forum. So the boards didn't get some big boost tonight as well? It'll be soon enough. So are we going to endure dull hype until then? Just get it over with and make all the changes at once. If it doesn't affect the board I don't care. The website could be linked to McDonalds.com. Don't make it seem like the world will change when we log on and it's a tiny difference. Get it over with. And Macho Dude, thank you. In the meantime, congratulations, and I mean that, on all your hard work. I just wish the aspect involving this board was carried out differently. To be fair, I think it does affect the board very much so. Essentially, if I'm to gather what was brought up in the thread, many of the posters here will eventually, or could eventually be doing columns once all the kinks are taken out. What that does, is it gives many of the posters who comment and talk about different things in different threads, write blogs and make posts about different other topics. It's gaining material from people posting on this message board, essentially making the board extremely important in regards to content. For example, it was brought up in the original thread in asking for columns about travel stories, and I have a scar on my lip due to travels, and numerous other stories if people were interested in traveling tips and ideas, as I've been to 16 countries by age 24, my first going to the UK at 18 on no money for a chick. It was annoying admittedly when it came to Dixie Carter style, change is coming stuff, but as was explained already, the name had to be changed at the last minute due to finding out it was being used. Hell, the crapcast was the original name for the podcast I and a number of others do on this message board, and I ended up finding there was actually a podcast called the crapcast still going, so that had to change. It didn't effect that podcast all that much, mostly due to not having an actual webpress type of website. So really, it's a larger change then one would expect and certainly shouldn't be underscored. And besides, in regards to getting it out all at once, it was brought up about dicking everyone around in a thread before the original May 1st launch, so dicking people around even more would probably have gotten over like a fart in church. Plus, it would be a dramatic and sudden change to go to this site in your favourites and it not being there without any fair warning. |

I, for one, think this is a very exciting change. I'll contribute however I can, even if my article skills aren't too great.  I may be in the minority but I'm happy about branching off from wrestling, too. Wrestling discussion online was just giving me way too much of a headache, I always found the off-topic section the most soothing. Although I will admit to being a bit sad. I know it's just a name change, it still feels like the end of an era. I've been here since 2007 so I at least had some good times at Wrestlecrap/'The Crap. Anyway, great work guys, I'm really looking forward to see how this turns out. |

Will the forum have an entirely new layout as well? There's a crapload of codes from ProBoards that you can use to customize the place for a brand new look. However, that is entirely up to the people in charge. :3 So instead of 'Crappers, we're called FANs now?  |
