Thanks bud. Dream Big. Listen. I wish no ill will towards anyone. I don't call it like I see it. I call like it is. The heart and soul of this place has always, always been the messageboard, it could be associated with FruityPebbles.com and that wouldn't change. I'll leave it alone going forward but my gripe is this: Don't present me with the gobbeldygooker and proclaim it StoneCold Steve Austin. Change means Change, not a new logo. It means a new point of view, a complete upheaval of everything former. I'm disappointed in the way things were hyped and delivered. In my opinion, the delivery didn't match the hype. However, and I mean this, I like and respect many folks here, and will leave this at bay. I just hope going forward everyone will continue to have discussions of the highest level at this place. ...Outside of Alex Wright. Alex Wright should always take precedence. btw, resetting my post-count is childish. Very disappointed in that. Slik, that's what you seemed to expect out of this, so you go your wish. Let me ask you this - what exactly were you expecting? The only thing we did on the board is make two teasers - one said "a change is coming" and another that said "a new era begins" - both of these are absolutely valid in what is going on. I'm sorry you feel so selfish in all of this that you can't seem to grasp that this IS a big change for the boards, in many aspects. I'm sorry you can't seem to grasp that the changes are only starting and part of an ongoing thing that will - HAS - to take time. I'm also very sorry now that I've kept giving you so much leeway over the years on here. I hate starting things off with this, but I think it's best - since you couldn't step away as I asked earlier and you're still going with the same gripe you've had in every post you've made on here in this thread - that I help you step away from the boards for a couple of days. Sorry, but I'm not dealing with you anymore tonight. |

Here are my thoughts and questions regarding this change/expansion...
Should we expect the message board to change much following this change and expansion? To me the companion website and the new name of the message board suggests that the website and message boards are devoted to basically all forms of entertainment and pop culture. However, the current message board is in my opinion a professional wrestling message board. In fact, these boards have always labeled any other discussion as "off-topic," implying that professional wrestling (and combat sports like MMA) are the intended topics and that all other forms of entertainment and pop culture are lumped together into one board designated as not being on-topic.
I think most of the posters on the forums joined it to discuss wrestling as it was originally intended to be the companion message board for wrestlecrap.com. I think this board should remain primarily devoted to discussing professional wrestling, even though the name 'Freaking Awesome Network' does not specify that professional wrestling is the primary topic for the board. My concern is that over time the message board might consolidate the wrestling message boards in order to expand the 'off-topic' board. I also wouldn't be surprised if the 'off-topic' board is renamed to avoid the classification that discussing professional wrestling and combat sports is the main purpose of the boards and that anything else is not considered "on-topic."

2. Put them on tgwtg.com FAN blogs
3. Get picked to be featured on main site

By the way, the forums are now the official FAN forums. Currently, just a place holder while I iron a couple small tidbits out coding wise. Random but honest question, does this by any chance mean different and/or more forum skins? Just curious  One, which will reflect the site. It'll be the first "official" alt skin for here as the rest were just me and Deadpool f***ing around. I'm sure it's been asked before, but I'm too lazy to look through 15 pages of this thread. Will we need to re-register? No. My guess is there will still be the wrestling sections (which has been confirmed) and Off-Topic will become the Entertainment section, with sub-boards such as Films & Television, Comics & Anime, Sports, etc. This *may* be it but splitting OT will be minimal. Not confirming anything tho. |

After a couple hours to mull it over, I've grown from slightly against to neutral/slight-favor of the change... mostly because I may be able to post something very infrequently on the site. And I'm a glory hog.
