Well at least this one will be building towards Survivor Series.

Bash HHH all you want, but at least his ego-trips are generally used to build the program.
Rock is getting tribute shows simply for agreeing to show up. I hope the WWE is trying to make him look like a self centered prick, while Cena is the loyal guy that doesn't need to be glorified every time he shows his face. If that's NOT where this angle is going, then it's going to blow up in their faces by the time Wrestlemania arrives.

MORE ON THE ROCK'S RETURN by Dave Scherer @ 3:52 PM on 10/11/2011 Following up on Mike Johnson's story from earlier today, WWE released the following this afternoon: Finally, The Rock(R) Returns to Boston STAMFORD, Conn., Oct 11, 2011 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- WWE(R) announced today that "the most electrifying man in entertainment," The Rock, will return to the city of Boston at the TD Garden on Monday, November 14 for a special three hour Raw(R) SuperShow that will air live on USA Network at 8 PM ET/7 PM CT. What will happen when "The People's Champion" The Rock and John Cena(R) meet in Cena's hometown in their first face-to-face encounter since the spring? Ever since the announcement of the epic main event of Rock vs. Cena at WrestleMania(R) XXVIII on April 1, 2012, the two Superstars have engaged in a war of words. Can these two Superstars get along six days before they team up at Survivor Series(R)? Tickets for the special Raw SuperShow are available at the TD Garden Box Office, all Ticketmaster outlets, www.ticketmaster.com , or by calling 1-800-745-3000. The live event portion of the show has a special start time of 7:15 PM.

If this doesnt end with the Rock on his back, then it'll be really pointless

And it's an extra long Raw too. I feel that there should be a prize if you manage to sit through the entire 3 hours. I have survived both 10/14/10 Impact and 10/10/11 Raw, therefore... I've sat through every WCW show from the years 1999-2001. I'll be watching this with a smile on my face knowing this show will be loads better than those shows. That's part of the reason why I didn't hate last night's Raw either. Because I also know that the Raws from 93-95 and most of 2009 were that bad EVERY WEEK. And unlike the birthday, this one is actually going to build to something.

Meanwhile, I wasted time watching Raw yesterday and saw more talk than wrestling and HHH dominating Raw like it was 2002 all over again. Cena's "loyalty" apparently doesn't mean much considering that he gets booed no matter what. I just don't get why they have CM Punk all of a sudden caring what that pitiful milquetoast and the son-in-law have to say. It's like they're undermining him on purpose. Seeing Rock again will at least take the sting of godawful Raw booking out a little bit.

It'll be more entertaining than the Ace vs HHH feud.

Ehh, I hated the Rock at his peak. But I enjoyed most of his run last year.
And this couldn't be much worse than last night's horrendous episode of Raw.

I have survived both 10/14/10 Impact and 10/10/11 Raw, therefore... I survived 10/10/10 AND Victory Road. This'll be a piece of cake. I survived the majority of 2009, including Jermey Piven, 2009 Slammy awards AND little people's court. Three hour Rock BJ fest is nothing.

This will eventually blow up in their faces. If WWE keeps acting like every Rock appearance is like the second coming of the messiah, the fans WILL turn on him. He just hasn't been on enough consecutive weeks for it to happen yet.

Oh I am SO going to this. I don't care if it will suck; The Rock is the only major WWF/WWE star that I haven't seen live. This may be my last chance if my WM28 plans fall through. Luckily I saw him in 98. It was right after the Nation broke up and he turned face. He wrestled Mark Henry (or maybe it was D Lo). It was also the RAW where Austin was in the hunting gear stalking Vince and made him piss his pants with the "BANG 3:16" fake gun.

I'm going to go ahead and call this one the same thing I did the last one - Rocksucking. If you called it Rock polishing you could use a double pun there. Also that'd give you a possibility for an Andy Dufresne photoshop.

And... I won't be watching that. The last one was painful enough. And what, they couldn't use this for... I don't know, Old School Raw? King of the Ring? Something else that doesn't suck? Old school Raw would have been cool

As much as I loved Old School Raw; if you made it an annual thing I think it'd lose its specialness.

I don't mind a Rock appearance, but please not another one like his birthday special. I still can't get over how they got Pitbull to perform that night.

I remember Rock Appreciation Night, or Rock's Birthday, or whatever the f*** it was being alot of fun, so I'm okay with another one. Although, I think this will be more storyline focused, as they have the whole SS thing to set up

Can you blame them with the ratings so low?
