If they let Punk 'Pipebomb' The Rock, it'll be worth the three hour show.

Man, where did all this Rock hate come from? Watch him suck through his peak, then comeback with the same tired shit and see WWE suck up to him more than anyone in their history.

Nice opinon.
It shouldn't be a surprise that WWE is sucking up to The Rock anyway. Guy is helping the company out loads business wise. The biggest thing about Rock is that he brings viewers to the table. This is where WWE is supposed to do their part in having those viewers stick around and get hooked to the newer stars. I know quite a few people who did but there can be alot more.

I don't give a flying f***, I'm finding a way to go to this! If you go and get Foley, I'll hate you forever. I really wanted Foley at the Rock's birthday bash that everyone hates. (But it was damn fun live with the Miami crowd...and I HATE Miami.)

Compared to the current roster, Rock is FAR from overrated. People need to take a long hard look at who works on this roster and the money they draw. And I mean everyone. People I like, people I don't like, none of them are capable of drawing. And even in a BETTER environment, most of them still wouldn't be draws. There was a Cena main-evented PPV that did what, south of 70K buys domestically? I like Punk, at best, what was he worth? Another 70K buys? So between Cena and Punk we can get almost 150K buys for a major PPV. It's an improvement, but compared to historical business? Whoop-de-damn-do. People may not like the Rock for 100,000 different reasons, 99,000 of which probably aren't true, but the fact of the matter is that he's a draw, they have him for a short period of time, and dammit, they're gonna run it into the ground, because it doesn't matter after he's gone. And if it doesn't work, well, then they're screwed because nothing will goose their buyrates and ratings then. The thing is, I don't think it's a matter of who draws or not. People are pissed because the current roster hasn't been given an opportunity to even attempt to reach Rock-levels of popularity. Sure, we know he's a draw. But why does he have to be the only BIG one?

My DVR's set to record it regardless, so I can't really complain. Though, wouldn't it be funny if the swerve was it was 3 hours dedicated to "Man Mountain Rock?" I'd mark.

As has already been said,
Rock ego train > HHH ego train.
Odd that we're living through the latter and there's minimal complaining going on.

Do remember that The Rock's Birthday Bash didn't spike ratings. If I'm correct, it was only a 3.2. Which, to be fair, is good for wrestling nowadays. Sure, this will spike it back up to 3.2 (though I think they've been floating around 3 for awhile now), though I don't feel that's why they're having him on. It's to build towards Survivor Series, as well as see the reactions in Boston (which I think will be 50/50 for Rock and Cena).

I love The Rock. The reason he is getting three hour shows devoted to him is that he can pop ratings way more than anyone, yes, including CM Punk.
And people just better get ready for Rock to blow Punk's doors off on the mic.

Man, where did all this Rock hate come from? Honestly, it was two things in particular: - The Wrestlemania Main Event
- The last Rock Themed Raw was pretty bad.

I'm taking my GF to her first live WWE event and I had my pick of this or the Smackdown the following night. We picked Smackdown since it's a MUCH shorter drive.
Man am I glad I picked Smackdown now.

This will eventually blow up in their faces. If WWE keeps acting like every Rock appearance is like the second coming of the messiah, the fans WILL turn on him. He just hasn't been on enough consecutive weeks for it to happen yet. I wouldn't normally bother challenging such a statement. But Cena will be booed out of any arena long before Rock is at this stage. Yeah, but what if the crowd hates both guys? That's why it has the potential to be a disaster. Rock helped get them a big Wrestlemania buyrate, but his Raw appearances didn't spike the ratings as much as one would think. As for why WWE doesn't want anyone becoming as big as Rock. Well, two reasons: 1. You can't force it. Rock's charisma speaks for itself. 2. Rock quit to go make movies. The guy that dethroned him quit for the NFL and then became a huge draw for UFC.
