That is one of the most egomaniacal things I've ever read, but considering who said it it's nothing new. Does this at least have some slight basis in fact? I haven't seen SummerSlam 2006 so I don't know what the crowd was like. (To keep on-topic I too loved the Mr. America angle. It was so goofy and over-the-top it couldn't possibly fail.) The opening match was Rey vs. Chavo at the tail end (I think) of Eddiespoitation, and the crowd hated it. Show vs. Sabu got a few good pops but nobody can deny them being more into Hogan's match. Hogan definitely over-exaggerates about the rest of the event. DX vs. the McMahons and Edge vs. Cena had good heat. It figures. Thanks for answering.
