I was recently watching the Stone Cold/Zamboni segment on the OMG! Top 50 Incidents DVD and noticed that the policemen standing to the right of Vince bears a striking resemblance to Johnny Ace.

That would be interesting, he may've been an extra for that. I know he eventually became the talent relations guy from WCW, which is how he got his WWE job in the first place.

Ace was always an All Japan guy. And after a quick CageMatch.de check, he was apparently working in All Japan at the time. (Late '98, if I am remembering right)

According to Wiki (so take it with a grain of salt), Johnny Ace didn't join WWE until 2001, after a brief stint with WCW (guess he came over after WWE acquired it). Pretty much everything before that was wrestling in Japan.

Anyone know his first on-air appearance in wwe? I know he makes an appearance on Rey's first dvd (619) but that dvd came out in 2003, so there may be prior apperances

He was part of the committee along with Ed Ferrara, Bill Banks, Terry Taylor, Disco Inferno and a few others. Yes, I said Disco Inferno.

Nothing groundbreaking like the nWo, but it was certainly good, good stuff.

Nothing groundbreaking like the nWo, but it was certainly good, good stuff. And from the sounds of things, Vince and Jeff Jarrett seem to agree; Johnny Ace, as we all know, went on to be WWE's talent relations guy, and up until this past summer, Terry Taylor was TNA's.
