How big of a push do you see Cena getting if Lesnar never left?
Who do you think WWE would've protected more?
I think it's obvious Cena was gonna become a top guy unlike JBL.
He was already very over and selling merchandise when Lesnar was still around.
Plus he got a WWE Title shot at Backlash in 2003 and faced some big names like Taker and Angle that year.
Then turned face due to crowd reaction.
Also Cena seems more like a "face of the company" type than Lesnar.
Cena's a better talker and overall more charismatic.

I think there was a thread like this about a month ago.
Honestly speaking, I think the only major difference is that JBL would never have been pushed as the top heel of Smackdown.
Cena still would've walked out of Wrestlemania 21 as champion, because honestly, Cena and Eddie were easily the most over wrestlers during that period.
I think the big difference though would be Batista's presence on Smackdown.

It would be Cena and Brock Lesnar rather than Cena and Batista

Brock would have been the most decorated guy ever if he stuck around. Probably would have ended the streak by WM25. Cena might have still become the top face, but Brock would have been THE guy, as a heel. What it comes down to is guys that get big too fast tend to have less passion and incentive to stick around (Warrior, Goldberg, and Rock come to mind). Build a guy up slowly, make him earn his accomplishments, and he's likely to appreciate them more.

I wouldn't call that losing passion, at least not compared to others who didn't stick around nearly that long.

Cena would still have all his World Title reigns and Wrestlemania Main Events but Orton, Batista and Edge would not have been as prominent.
