compare the June & July PPV's
CP was treated like a filler show: - Truth was being pushed well (deservingly so), but nobody in the world thought he'd stand a chance to win the title - Swagger vs. Bourne treated as a "bonus match" - fake Obama skits and awful speech - Kofi/Ziggler match nr. 381234 and Punk/Rey match nr. 341254 - Alberto vs. Big Show was rather material for RAW or SD, with all the Mark Henry shenanigans - 2 title changes (Zeke & Dolph winning) that weren't too noteworthy
MITB was like a blockbuster event: - 2 spectacular MITB matches - Punk vs. Cena in the best storyline of the year, putting on a 30 minute clinic full of drama & suspense, in Punk's hometown in his supposedly last WWE match nonetheless - Christian finally beats Orton here (in hilarious fashion)
funny how PPV's are that different, only one month in between - loved that period though

Yeah, Capitol Punishment seemed really half-cooked, and then Money In The Bank was surely the best PPV of the year and potentially the PG Era.

It certainly may be the biggest turnaround in quality between PPVs that you could possibly find.

Interestingly, Summerslam was like a mix of the two.
Like CP, SS had "bonus" add-on matches, i.e. the 6 man tag, and stupid bits, like CeeLo Green's performance. Like MITB, it had some good matches, like Punk v Cena.
Cena is not my favorite wrestler, but both PPV matches he and Punk had were solid and really enjoyable. That wasn't only due to CM Punk either - Cena played his role well. I thought they had great chemistry.
