Is Rock now more hated than Cena?

Quite ironic considering how many people would pretty much just beg for the Rock to come back to WWE for like years, & now people just outright him & WWE itself for bringing him back. That being said, i'm still sure the hatred for Cena is outmatched by no-one.

In the World of wrestling fans, even online, I'd say that 90% of wrestling fans who use the internet (and not in the IWC cliche) and most who don't will be cheering for the Rock still.

Cena does have fans, no doubt, but Rock has the benefit of nostalgia and his unmatched charisma/ability to make people love him just through walking through the gorilla position means he'll always be loved so much more.

I like Cena, but come on, it's The Rock.

He may be hated by a select few on here, but overall he's pretty damn popular even now.

Most people I've talked to feel it is half assed of the Rock, with his comeback. 'I'm never going to leave!' *goes to film another movie for six months*

A lot of people are just bored with these one time comebacks. There's no emotional investment because Dwayne isn't going to be here for very long, may be two nights in a year.

Hollywood Rock circa 2003 had the right idea.

I'm so bored of Cena's character, it makes me le sigh when he is announced for another £14.99 pay per view main event, every stinking month. BUT at least you know he's going to be here, developing storylines and such. The Rock is just there for a week and then gone.

*edit* I never begged for the Rock to come back, all I wanted was Lesnar, and now he's in the game so I'm okay. ;D

The Rock isn't remotely hated.

Some may not care for him but his popularity, charisma and legacy are pretty up there in WWE History, equalled/matched only by Hogan, Austin, Warrior, HBK, Savage, Undertaker, Andre & Cena.

He's way, way, way up there...

I think hated is the wrong word, may be jaded.

Y'know how Austin would come out with his ATV or his Sheriff Austin stuff? People knew he wouldn't be wrestling so some people became jaded, not hating.

I could never hate The Rock (barring him doing something major, obviously), but I've actually slowly sided with Cena for this feud for the sole reason that Rock's reasons for hating Cena are stupid.

Sure, but you can't deny Cena's reasons are equally as stupid.

Whining about a guy who left with his health in tact to pursue another career? Talk about whiny and ignorant.

This entire feud appears to have stupid reasons on both sides.

I do maintain, that along the way Rock is the only one who has made any sort of sensible comment. In that he called Cena out by pointing out (rightly) that Cena HAS to be there, as that's his job. Rock did that job for quite a few years, on the road non-stop.
Cena is acting like Rock is some jumped up celebrity who hasn't wrestled a full schedule in his life. That of course is completely false.

I marked like a motherf***er for the Rocks return and it was an amazing promo, but since then, both guy have come across as bitchy little whiners and I sincerely hope WM 28 ends on a no contest and neither guy is allowed to be at a WrestleMania again, and then Joan Seena, the transgender rapper shows up on TNA, along with Cocky Maivia, a wrestling penis with a mask that resembles the head of a penis, in what can only be described as the most offensive, tasteless and disgusting feud in the history of pro wrestling.

Pretty much. The feud really is silly in reasoning from both men. Funny thing is, Rock hasn't even had a chance to really say any of that logical stuff on screen. But I guess it can be saved for the RTWM.

Rock kinda was the Cena of ten years ago.

That babyface who laughed off a lot of his heel challengers and did hit-or-miss comedy and wrestled to mixed reactions across the nation in big match situations.

That said, Rock wasn't then, nor is he now, ever going to approach the levels of nuclear loathing inspired by John Cena.

Then I got the chance to actually look back at the promos and at the arguments from both sides. They're both pretty f****** stupid.

Rock: "I HATE YOU BECAUSE KIDS LIKE YOU.......Even though kids like ME back in the day."

Cena: "I HATE YOU BECAUSE YOU LEFT....Because you don't want to have to take an hour or 2 to get out of bed. YOU SHOULD DO MORE FOR THE COMPANY....Even though you've done everything."

Where's the feud? I don't get it.
