Pretty shocked, here. I thought she was a great heel with excellent facial expressions, and she seemed to work hard in the ring. Bummer. Oh, yeah, she was hot, too.

WWE IS MEAN.
That should be the name of this section, hell the entire board.

Bobby Lashley was an overpushed douchebag who wanted the World delivered to him on a gold platter and doesn't even know what hard work means. Miz is not. So what? That doesn't change the total lack of ethics which exist in this practice, since it is done particularly to cause isolation between two partners in hopes that the one still employed can be bribed away with sex with other people and pretend that nothing happened.

She is better off modelling anyway. I went to class with the Ms. Vienna 2009 for two years and she looks kinda like a brown haired version of Maryse so I guess Maryse has a lot of potential as a model aswell.

I don't buy it. I really think she just asked for her release to pursue other opportunities. Thats what her tweet seems like. This seems to be the logical assumption as to what happened. And what UnGreat is suggesting the WWE is doing has got to be borderline illegal. Borderline illegal? You mean like how they sweep marijuana and other drug use under the table in exchange for a minor bribe?

You should know that I don't take newz reports seriously. But this is a recurring theme and everything that's been said by performers in the industry over this matter suggests that it is indeed the case.

I disagree with UnGreat on this one but to be fair to him, WWE has done some shady stuff that could border on illegal before. I don't think that's the case here, but Dawn Marie getting fired while pregnant comes to mind.

Bobby Lashley was an overpushed douchebag who wanted the World delivered to him on a glod platter. Miz is not. Also, Morrison apparently gave Trish Stratus the cold shoulder during their Wrestlemania angle with Snooki over some rumored nonsense involving Trish and Melina. That probably rubbed the higher-ups the wrong way, since it's Trish Stratus and all. Miz hasn't had a single problem with WWE management from what I know, and Vince values him very much. So either WWE got upset that Maryse was off modeling without their endorsement and released her, something both Maria and Mickie James have experienced, or she saw that she can make money looking sexy without having to get physical at all and asked for her release. Either way, Miz is a big boy, he'll get over it.

What a shame. She played her character to perfection and could have been a great manager for The Miz. Sounds like it was a mutual thing (well sounds more like Maryse wanted out).
Rosa still having a job is becoming the biggest mystery in WWE. She contributes absolutely nothing.

Also, there are other couples in the WWE that aren't getting messed with. Punk/Beth, Tyson/Natalya, Cody/Layla, Gabriel/Kelly, and probably others. It's unreasonable to expect these people to be on the road together all year and for hook ups and relationships to not happen. Eventually, some people get fired. Thats just how it is. Doesn't mean the relationship played a role.

Miz's dream was to be in the wwe. Be like the Rock etc, he is pretty much living that. Do you think he will let this get in his way? I don't think Miz will bobby lashly this.
I'll miss Maryse. Laissez les souvenirs seuls Bonne nuit douce princesse.

Where do you get this insider information as to what WWE is doing when it releases a diva? Consider everything that happened to Kristal, what she said in her interview, etc. and her total independence in this matter from other divas, and the basic format of what happened to her and Bobby repeating earlier this year. Why do you think John Morrison's not renewing his contract? The money is definitely good, but what does a man value more than money, and what besides a risk to that thing being forsaken would make it worth abandoning that continued access to the almighty dollar? This company tries to separate couples by any means necessary once one becomes even the slightest problem and works hard to keep the other on the road. When the man in question does not want to go along with this, they are given negative treatment as a result to stiffen them out (see: the Morrison burial).

You can't keep a person because they're in a relationship with someone who's job is more secure.

Borderline illegal? You mean like how they sweep marijuana and other drug use under the table in exchange for a minor bribe? Are you talking about the fines, or it is something else I must have missed? Yep, the fines. They may rehab people when they're on the brink of death from hard drugs, but otherwise, money under the table will keep all issues thereof totally quiet.

I blame Ted Jr, spending a few months with him clearly destroyed the joie de vivre* she once held in her heart and replaced it with a crushing realisation about the soul-sucking monotony of every day life.
*It's not pretentious to use French on this occasion as she's French Canadian.
