Thanks Cro. When WAS the last time the title was the Main Event anyone? I'm drawing a blank. TLC 2011.

Some of you guys need to go look back to why you are a fan in the first place. The main event was better than the opener MITB, IMO. So much energy and just great pacing. Even the ending was original. But hey, it is all negated because of the outcome. Nice. It's definitely the difference between having established characters and having to prove yourself. That first match I was just so god damn nervous that the guys were gonna kill themselves that it was hard to turn that off to enjoy it. The main event didn't have to work so hard because they all have more history together and familiarity with the fans so they can skirt by on storytelling more than daredevil antics. They were both great matches for different reasons, the main event was great but I don't know how anyone can't understand the Cena fatigue.

At the point when Titus O'Neil had the best match of the night.... Yeah, I'm taking me a nice, long break from watching.

Honestly, none of the other participants winning woulda made much sense from a " what's next?" standpoint. Not saying Cena is the perfect scenario, just saying it makes the most sense.
Hell, say Rock comes back and beats Punk, Lesnar, whoever for the title, then Cena cashing in would have some intrigue.

Not exactly. It was a decent match, but it was outclassed by the opening match in every way. I found the opening portion of the opener, as well as the "guy lies around until his spot comes" pacing to be more tedious than to it's advantage. The main event never felt like that. There was a reason people were down outside of fighting someone on the outside and resting. Half of that match was Albert slowly being awful, slowly. Another large portion was Santino being awful. Then there was Vickie interfering. The stuff with Sin Cara put it above the other match for me but on the whole there was a lot to not like about it.

There's about as much chance of that happening as there is of me going back in time to end Goldberg's streak. I was just about to ask if anyone honestly believes Cena is going to fail his cash-in. I may be way off, but I don't think there's any chance in hell of that happening. I've said since No Way Out Cena would win MITB and fail cashing in at Summerslam and I stick to it. It's the only way to end the MITB = Automatic Champion thing without making the loser look stupid.

Yet again Cena has shot everyones mother in the face while humping their father.
I'm thankful life detached me from obsessing about wrestling, sometimes you just have to accept how it is. You'll watch tomorrow, and if you don't enjoy the cooling off period.

I am sort of pissed with the show, but that's mostly over Punk retaining.

Yawn... Back to the status quo.. SuperCena
Of course, Punk doesn't get to close the show again. I mean why the world champ ever get to close a show

Yeah, Cena winning was the only real outcome that could've happened. Kane doesn't need it, Big Show is (supposedly) kept from title matches, Jericho's status is iffy. The only other person that MAY have done something with it would be Miz and I don't know if WWE considers him a "top" guy.

Hmmmm don't y'all think that Cena going on last over Punk is gona further the Eve promo on Punk where she said that he is playing second fiddle to all the other "big names".

The majority of you here should just stop watching wrestling. Seriously, you derive no joy from it anymore. I'll thank you to refrain from telling anyone what to do. I enjoyed the SD MiTB and Bryan vs Punk. Cena winning is ridiculous as they guy can get a title shot whenever he decided to assert himself as he's done in the past. most of those guys can do that. Chris Jericho won a world title the same night he lost a street fight to Shawn Michaels

As I've said before, this was the one time that the Cena match needed to main event the PPV. It was a Money in the Bank Ladder Match at a show called...Money in the Bank.

Kind of stupid for a match for a shot at the championship to go on after a title match itself, plus given it's the only event of the year with Money in the Bank matches that should be fine enough. Plus it's not like that's stopped WWE before. Chairs match main-eventing TLC, a non-title match main-eventing Night of Champions, an ambulance match headlining Elimination Chamber...

There was a reason people were down outside of fighting someone on the outside and resting. I didn't like the first match, it was full of botches and people laying around for no good reason which made it hard to get into, there were also times I was genuinely worried about their safety. It may have been better without Tensai and Sin Cara stinking up the place (powerbomb at the end excluded). The main-event was much better but still suffered from Kane being down too long.
