Toys 'R Us is pretty much the ONLY major retailer taking Wii U preorders that still have the Deluxe(32 GB + Nintendoland) SKU available, GameStop and Best Buy have sold out of their launch preorders for the Deluxe.
As expected nearly everyone flocked to the version with more memory and the free game included.
This is why I am waiting at least a year on the Wii U. Well that, and for it to get more games. Bayonetta 2 is a hell of a start, but I'll need more than that.

Well the Launch Window (Nov. 18-March 2013) boasts 50 games, so you'll definitely will have a selection depending on when you get it.

Plus, it depends on how big the games are for the size of the consoles.

Well the Launch Window (Nov. 18-March 2013) boasts 50 games, so you'll definitely will have a selection depending on when you get it. The majority of which I can also play on my PS3. I meant the system needs more exclusives. I'm not dropping $350(there is no way in hell I am paying $300 for 8GB of internal storage when for $50 more I get 4x the internal storage plus a free game) for a system for the at the moment small handful of games exclusive to the system. As long as there is a PS3 version of a game coming out on the Wii U I am getting the PS3 version of it. After a year there should be enough exclusive games for me to justify buying it. That and there will probably be a sweet Wii U Black Friday bundle next year. The only way I'll consider a Wii U this year is if they give us some kind a deal on Black Friday(I'll even settle for something as simple as "buy a Wii U and get New Super Mario Bros. U/Pikmin 3 for free!"). Edit: Not to mention there might be some issues with the launch units. Sure Nintendo has a much better track record of this not being the case, but don't really want to risk it.

Just to remind, you can you external storage on the Wii U, so even if you get the 8gig system, you can use a 32gig SD card, or like me a 1TB hard drive. Glad I pre-ordered mine hours after it was announced, I have a Deluxe at gamestop and a Basic through BB.

Wasn't there going to be a ZombiU package? Not sure if it is japan only, but if there is one in north america,i will try to grab one
Also for the split screen, the tablet is a good thing! As they showed in the black ops,the tablet working as a dual screen ,for both to play ,whitout splitting the screen?Very clever, even if i hate call of duty,i must applaud that.

I'm still waiting for them to tell current Wii owners who want to upgrade to a WiiU how to transfer the data.
Hopefully it's not like how I had to transfer from my 3DS to my 3DS XL...that was annoying.

To my knowledge the only non-Nintendoland bundle announced so far is a bundle that has the Wii U, the Pro Controller, and a copy of Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate, and as you might expect(considering it is Monster Hunter) it is exclusive to Japan.

Gamestop where I live is still taking pre-orders on both models as of yesterday. I don't really get what the Wii U is offering. I've heard it's only a little more powerful that 360 & PS3 and that's not saying much for a new system in my opinion. Secondly...minus the Nintendo 1st party & Bayonetta 2 it looks like I can play most games they're offering on my PS3. The salesmen at Gamestop were trying like hell to get me to pre-order the $350 model...but I just don't see what the big deal is.
I also heard the extra controllers are going to cost an arm and a leg once they come out which is another turn off for me. Graphics that = systems that were released in 2005/2006 + expensive controllers = no buy for me.

The only controllers you'll absolutely need multiples off to play same room multiplayer are Pro Controllers and/or Wii-motes(specifically the Wii-motes with Motion+ built in). And the Pro Controllers are only $50 each. I'm doubting any Wii U game will ever absolutely require multiple Gamepads, just that eventually games will have the option of using two Gamepads.

Japan and Europe gets bundles with games I actually want. America gets the game that is just a bunch of repurposed tech demos.......gee thanks Nintendo......

But that's only for their "bundle" with the 8 GB system.

In more personal news, finally got my three special coins for the Op. Rainfall games (Xenoblade Chronicles, The Last Story and Pandora's Tower). Cool little things, actually. It's one of those "eh, it's not much but it almost makes you feel like they care" kinda thinds.

Well, I am officially on the GameStop "waiting list" for the WiiU. The guy at the store was vague as all hell about the entire process. I go in, sign up for the list, and then he proceeds to tell me I will be called/e-mailed when my console is available. As I'm walking out the door, he screams, "Oh! But you're not guaranteed a console! Don't get too excited!" So yeah, I have no idea if I accomplished a thing by signing up for that.
On another note, did anyone else pick up the Kirby anniversary collection? I just got it and it seems like a pretty neat little package thus far. MUCH better than their previous Mario collection, in my opinion.

Any more upgraded and the price raises over 400 dollars for the system alone. Which is something that Sony learned was a major downfall in the first 2 years of their over priced console. So i don't expect the next gen PS4 or Xbox Durango to be any more powerful because of that.
