Hey, that reminds me. I don't think I told you guys, but I got tickets to the San Diego Comic Con on July 14th.
I'll be sure to take plenty of pictures of any pony merch I can find. And I'll definitely be looking for another group poster.

Indeed, I will, FSin. Confound these ponies! They drive me to contemplate going to my first con! ;D

Cons are magical fun times where it is just you and hundreds, if not thousands, of other geeks/nerds. And bring a large wallet with you if you do go. For the beast known as the Dealer's Room, is hungry, hungry for cash, and will greatly tempt you with glorious wares.

Indeed, I'll be going to a brony convention as well in Omaha, Nebraska, called "Running of the Leaves". Its amazing how far I've come since about a year ago I was first hearing about the show and wondering why it is so popular.

I know.
Its just that I have so many firsts with these ponies: Actively reading fanfics, looking for fan art and vids, going to cons perhaps. ;D

But seriously, conventions are a hell of a time.
Back in high school my most favorite time of the year was the end of the school year and the start of the school year, and not for the usual reasons, but because of anime cons down in Dallas, TX.
Project A-Kon at the end of the school year, and AnimeFEST on Labor Day weekend(a few weeks after school starts). Great times.

NakaKon in Kansas City was great this year. I only went down for 1 day, but it was quite fun from beginning to end. Really, the best conventions to go to are the ones that are local and don't charge an arm and a leg. Its that reason why I rarely go out of the state for cons anymore. Car payments will do that. ><

I need to go to a Con sometime.
Last one I went to was a Star Trek convention when I was in 5th grade.
Maybe my videos will get popular enough I can go to one.

I met my now ex-girlfriend in person for the first time at Anime Expo back in 2005. We... didn't really do much con-ing if you catch my drift. Though we did cosplay together as Yuri and Alice from Shadow Hearts. And got to meet Crispin Freeman. Next few years I went to Otakon. I've lost a lot of interest in anime and the con and Baltimore in general have gotten really expensive, but my times there were fun. One of the highlights was Otakon '08 where I got to meet and actually have conversations with Yuri Lowenthal and Tara Platt. I was able to surpress my inner fanboy marking out until after I had left. Then I felt like Filly Twilight just hearing that she had been accepted as Celestia's student. Might try to head to Anime NEXT this year. If not that, then definitely New York Comic Con. If it wasn't for the creep-o factor I'd try to hit up the Bronycon in NYC, but... yeah. You guys are awesome and if we had a FAN-brony meetup I'd be all over that like Rainbow Dash on cider, but much of the fandom rubs me the wrong way and I don't want to interact with them in person.
