Like he already has a match booked for Wrestlemania so will he wrestle at the Royal Rumble match?

I can see WWE having him win and then choosing whether he wants to face The Rock or compete for the World Title.
Personally, I'd just have him face Kane in a single's match at Rumble and keep them both out of the Rumble to give the younger guys a chance to shine.

Yeah, it really wouldn't make any sense for him to compete in it.

I can see Rock winning and Cena being like "welp I need a title now. HEY PUNK!"

He doesn't need to be, but I wouldn't mind if he was, as long as he doesn't win. The thing I always liked about the rumble is seeing interaction between guys who never appear together on television.

IMO both Cena and Rock are gonna be in the rumble and the both will cost each other the win.
Cena probably enters 15-20 and Rock enters at 30.

I know it's being said that it's likely Cena/Kane at the Rumble...
But I'm kinda hoping they save that match for Elimination Chamber.
Just because I don't want Kane's participation-in-Rumble-matches streak to end.

They could always have a spot in the Rumble to build up the EC match even more... still wouldn't really make sense why Cena is in it if he already has a WM match, though.

He wants to try to win the title AND beat The Rock on the same night? Double defenses? That's how I could see him explaining it.

At the moment he's booked in a feud that will last him between the Royal Rumble & Elimination Chamber. So I don't think he'll enter.

No, I dont see him being in.
One year, Id love to see a guy totally out of the blue win the Rumble. Really put over the "anything can happen" aspect of it, rather than make it a vehicle for pushing whatever main event agenda they have.

Why do people assume that Cena and Kane will either face each other or be in the Rumble? ever consider that they might do both?

Why do people assume that Cena and Kane will either face each other or be in the Rumble? ever consider that they might do both? Exactly. They both can just as easily be in a match and the rumble. People have done that twice in one night at the rumble loads of times before.

That would sound extremely selfish of Cena to try and hog the title picture too when he's already got a spot in Wrestlemania's main event with the Rock.

I would have a singles match with Kane. I would also put Kane in the Rumble as he usually gets a reaction for his entrance and has a Rumble streak and a lot of eliminations. It wouldn't be the worst thing ever if Cena is in the Rumble. The announcers could wonder if Cena will win and have to compete in two matches at Mania and what that would mean for the Cena-Rock match.

Considering his character, it'd be pretty stupid of WWE to leave him out. While I don't necessarily want Rock/Cena to be for the WWE title, he's got to at least attempt to make that a reality.

I don't see the point of having Cena in the Rumble. Yeah, he wants to have the title when he goes up against the Rock, but I also don't see the point of that. Might as well leave both him and Kane out to make room for two other guys on the roster.
Maybe if it was a 40 man rumble again, but apparently that's not the case this year.
