After hearing some of his quotes, Ace's character has a sort of Michael Scott vibe to it. He's the type of heel that doesn't try to show how evil he is, but rather how truly out of touch he is with what the people want. He thinks that pretty much everything that he does is a cutting-edge and unique way to make things better, when all it really does is make things worse for those who work for him. "When you heard the music, you expected one thing, and you got another. that is being Mr. Excitement, that is a microcosm of the wild unpredictability on Raw since I've been in charge." "I've taken several management classes, and I've learned, that I like to empower my talent." "My gift is tonight, CM Punk, you are off...ha, I got you! Who says I can't be unpredictable?" Oh my god, I want to shake the hand of the writer responsible for his script. He is great.

I think some people are throwing way too much praise his way but I like him overall. I wish he was a little more interesting character-wise, but he's worked well and I like how he manages to get heel heat without really acting like a heel.

I think he's the best thing in wrestling right now. I was chuckling all over the place during the opening segment, and when he interfered in Punk's match.

He's easily the best thing about Raw, especially since the idiots in WWE are appearing to turn Truth face.

R-Truth was a good a heel. Too bad they went this way with him. I'll never forget when he lit up the cirgarette and smoked it on air.

Six months ago I never thought I'd be entertained by Johnny Ace week after week. I swear he's getting better every week. "You don't want none of this," nearly had me rolling on the floor. I agree that his distraction/ejection was clever.

His distracting the ref while trying to make it seem like he was doing the right thing was great. That was awesome heel work.

Johnny Ace's admission that he has taken management classes and his attempted application of what he learned was the greatest thing that I've seen in some time. Love that guy.

Next week, Dolph Ziggler beats Punk for the title. The show ends with Laurinaitis at the top of the ramp with a mic, saying "well well, how the turntables..................." *fade to black* *WWE Entertainment* I would also love to see him promise the WWE Universe "a BIG surprise", and then show him freaking out backstage trying to figure out what the surprise will be. The show ends with him in the middle of the ring, mic to his mouth, frozen in fear.

I love Johnny Ace. He has the potential to be a great screen character and long term replacement for Vinny Mac.
I love CM Punk.
However, there's something about the two of them together that just bores me to tears. I can't quite put my finger on it, but I think it's something to do with the fact that Punk/Ace still seems like the pissed off underdog being held down by 'the man' to me which doesn't quite jar when Punk has the WWE title round his waist. I don't know if that's just because their roles have never really been redefined for me after everything that's happened since July.
I mean Laurinitis has went from being a silent McMahon stooge to the primary authority figure in WWE and Punk's went from angry, renegade heel to beloved number 2 face in the company but put them together and it just seems to be where we were 5 months ago as if nothing's happened.

John L. is the best part of WWE for me lately. Didn't think I'd ever say that when he first started as an on screen character.
