"JRsBBQ ... I demand nothing from WWE because I'm a team player. 2012 is going to be big for JR TV character."
He also recently tweeted he has no interest in becoming a manager. Continuing the pointless skits with Cole certainly would not be 'big.' Returning to commentary, while being great, would not be huge news.
If he's going to become GM I can see it happening either one of two ways:
1.) Raw GM: The pay off to JL storyline. Finally we get rid of "Mr Excitement" when the board of directors hire fan favourite JR to run the show - Cole and JL are shocked.
2.) Smackdown GM: Maybe Teddy finally wants to pack it in, that's why they are planting the seeds for his feud with JL where he will probably end up being removed. I love Teddy as GM, but his story hasn't moved along since he 'quit' before Viki Guerrero could fire him, ever since that he's pretty much been a caricature of himself. I could see JR taking over as GM another brand war beginning.
Honestly, option 2 is a more exciting idea to me. I just hope that when Teddy does leave they do give him a proper send off - he has been part of Smackdown for like 8 years now

Or idea 3.) Do nothing particular of note and get embarrassed out the door, like always.

I think he's said repeatedly that he has no interest being GM.
Probably has to do with WWE Network. If the WWE don't utilise his skills on the new network then quite frankly they deserve to fail.
