Such an amazing year for such an amazing talent, the only man to win two matches on the same PPV and wrestle two matches per card on back-to-back PPVs.
He started 2011 as World Heavyweight Champion, let's hope he begins 2012 by beating Punk's overrated ass and winning the WWE Championship! #HEEL #NextWWEChampion

Amen and Hallelujah to every point made in your opening post. He's a hell of a talent in almost every way. Great wrestling, good mic skills, great presence, damn good heel.
Punk's time as champ has gone the way of his greaser hair style, it's lame and outdated. It's the #Heel era.
And no era will ever be able to:
FOLLOW THAT![/Kayfabe]

Hopefully (but not expecting) he will be able to have this one to himself no Vickie interference etc let him go out there and just steal the damn show.
IMO that amazing match with Punk was just a taste of what is to come and he will trump even that , I just love that every chance he gets he elevates his performance that much more and next week will be no exception , if they don't get atleast 30min it's gonna be either the biggest tease of something even more awesome to come (ziggler goin all the way in the rumble to wrestle punk at mania) or just outright highway robbery of taking something so awesome and not goin all the way with it.

The more I picture it, the more it makes sense to me: Dolph Ziggler, Royal Rumble winner for 2012. At this point I'll be disappointed if it's someone else.
Next year I hope he will be given even more opportunities to succeed, he's easily one of my favorites right now.

They can hype up how great their series of matches were in 2010 and how they were tied with Taker/Michaels.

I could see him winning the Rumble, and Bryan / Ziggler at Mania would surely be amazing, but I can't see Dolph taking the title at Mania. And whoever wins the Rumble desperately needs to, otherwise it will mark five years in a row of the Rumble winner losing.

Aside from him desperately needing a new finisher (my pick would be the Superkick that he broke out recently), he basically is...yep, you guessed it, PERFECTION.

I was waiting for Ziggler to take a hammer to the bling bling belt, channeling his inner Perfection.

He was great as U.S. champion, but like was said above, I don't think it's his time just yet.
Give him title matches at the Royal Rumble and No Way Out Elimination Chamber where he comes up short; the Rumble winner gets "his" title shot at WrestleMania. Put Dolph in a high-profile, upper-midcard match at 'Mania and have him win clean. (the "clean" part is important.)
Build him to take the title at Extreme Rules or, if they can hold off for that long, SummerSlam. It would mean a lot more, IMO, if he did it at one of the "Big Four" PPVs, but even if they started pushing him to the title next week, I still wouldn't be able to completely buy it at WrestleMania.
I do think that 2012 will be the Year of Ziggler, but it should be a slow build. Also, in no way, shape, or form should they even think of turning him face; dude is a natural-born heel, and if WWE plays their cards right, he could be one of those elusive "lifetime heels" that everyone wants.
I'm definitely a supporter, but I like heels that are booed for being f***ing assholes; he's got the look, the mannerisms, and the attitude to be a top heel for years to come. Don't f*** this up, WWE!

I've got this awful feeling, now that I think about it, that next week will see Jericho costing Punk the title, and Ziggler will be used to transition it to Cena for Mania.

this can't be the first Dolph appreciation thread in 2011, can it? That's criminal if it is.
I sound like a broken record at this point praising the guy. There's a very heavy belt in his immediate future.
PS: Yeah, who do you think you are? Barry Horowitz? Pat yourself on the back somewhere else, pal.

hes so damn little now, i mean im not typicaly the person whos like you have to be all roided out with all kinds of mass, but even 6 months ago he was MUCH bigger. It amazing to see how much his body has changed from his debut with the spirit squad. He went from mass with defintion..to less mass and amazing definition, to skinny with definition. I really noticed it tonight, great wrestler but he may be one of the smaller guys they have..i mean I think Evan Bourne has more muscle on him than Dolph..

Ziggler winning the Rumble is in the works. I second that notion. He's going to become world champ in 2012. The dude has all the tools necessary to be a great, and management seems to be behind him now.

Dolph and Cody are easily the two best heels working today.

He's been awesome this year. The only bad thing is that he had to take a backseat to Snooki at Wrestlemania.

I really noticed it tonight, great wrestler but he may be one of the smaller guys they have..i mean I think Evan Bourne has more muscle on him than Dolph.. I think less bulk suits him a lot better. Looking at pictures at the beginning of the year, he looked so ridiculously contrived. Unnecessary muscle mass, orange skin, over bleached hair, baby oil abuse, constant angry "SRS" face, it all screamed "I am trying way too hard". Now, he just seems natural. He's subtly had a great transformation this year. It's really cool to see leetle Daniel Bryan, skinny fat CM Punk, and just straight skinny Dolph Ziggler getting big pushes, while the talent-challenged muscleheads like Ryan and Zeke are nowhere to be found.
