I'm surprised to not see a thread about this.
I read on PWTorch, due to an undisclosed medical reason withdrew the Hero contract.
Man, that means no WWE Kings of Wrestling...

Story's already been disproven - the site that came up with it has a history of making stuff up, and when other sites picked it up, like the Torch just did, they backtracked.
Besides, there's already been two threads on here talking about it.

I started one entitled, "Hero/WWE Delayed" or something like that. However, at that time, there wasn't a more credible source than "XcessUpdate" on twitter (which is where I found out about the story. I'm still hoping this is just newz, because it seems like every wrestling news site has picked it up, but in Copy and paste form, so it still feels suspect. My theory is that the story is gaining steam, so every site wants to make a note of it on their page to get some hits. I just don't think Hero would take steroids if he knew he was going to be tested for WWE. So I'm thinking maybe it's a medical thing where they just have to wait it out some more, or the story is just a fabrication that got out of hand.

I don't know if it was a steroid thing or what but he just tweeted this not long ago. @ruaven I don't think I will ever be "done" with wrestling. Thank you for your continued support!I find it a little suspicious that he isn't saying anything about WWE right now. I think it was most likely some type of health issue. We still haven't figured out exactly what Desmond Wolfe's health issue was either. I'm guessing they are either heart related or brain related.

I swear I'm not trying to be snarky, but how would WWE know if he had some sort of brain related issue? That just seems entirely too deep for a physical. Unless it's simply a history of concussions or something, and that seems like it would have come up a long time ago.

They do very careful health workups on everyone they sign. That is how they found out that MVP had a small heart thing a few years ago and paid for the surgery to fix it. I believe they can also do brain scans now to speculate about how bad someone's head has become. I don't know if they do that but it is just a guess.

DB said his issue (DB's, not Chris Hero's) was elevated liver enzymes. Remember those WWE days?

Its called a PET scan en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PET_scan. Ceck out the section on neuro-imaging.

There are a few fears. If it's something similar with Nigel, then Hero should at least get himself checked out further. Daniel Bryan in the Wrestling Road Diaries talked about that, if he at least couldn't get to WWE, he could at least find out what medical issues he had and attempt to fix them. He did, and it's sad that they hammer the fact that he's a vegan, when he became a vegan for health reasons. He gave up eating meat for his health, and WWE.

Yea and look where it got him, the championship Also you must remember what a huge sacrifice it was for him since bacon was his passion

The WWE would like to wish Chris Hero's contract offer the best in it's future endeavors.

It's good to read that, because honestly, all these stories were really bumming me out. I have only personally followed Hero's work since I started going to PWG in 2008, but I have really seen how talented he is, and how hard he works, and really hope this story has a happy ending. He and Claudio deserve the brightest lights wrestling can offer shined on them. One thing though: if the last tests were in September, and the results were only coming out this past week, we won't know the results of the January tests until probably March at the earliest. That's going to be another long wait.

Yeah, I really hope they sign him. I found myself really inspired by his story on the Art of Wrestling. I've had the same problem as him where I'm out of shape and just couldn't face going to a gym because I don't want to be seen working out by other people. Even if it's true that he had to take steroids to get through his problem, I suppose I can give him a pass. I get it. But since hearing that podcast back in like July, I started working out a lot harder and got over my fears and am on a long road, but enjoying the ride. I told him about it and when I bought a KOW shirt he threw in several autographed pictures. Me and my buddy also met him and Claudio at the August ROH show in Chicago and they were great guys. I'm really rooting for them.

He might have health issues or something like that. The reason why it took Daniel Bryan so long to finally appear in WWE was because he had Elevated Liver Enzymes, and he had to switch to the vegan diet due to it (according to his AoW interview). The fact that to my knowledge hes only made one indy appearance since the summer, I'm guessing he initially signed, but failed the medical, and WWE told him to get healthy. Wait...so Daniel Bryan wasn't a vegan before WWE? Yet, Cole rips on him for being a vegan? That's f***ed up. He also had a 60" flat screen but Vince made him sell it so Cole could make fun of that too.

all I'm gonna say is That argument was already killed. See Randy Orton, Rey Mystertio, Edge, R-Truth and others.

Hero was at Final Battle last night, losing to Roderick Strong. Dave Meltzer's still under the impression that Hero will take some dates, but then free himself up once he's offered a contract.
