Wait til WWE realizes this, and goes for their own WWE Christmas movie. Next winter we'll have "Z! True Underdog Story" a Christmas movie that mixtures kayfabe and reality culminating in Ryder's win of the US title. ...I'd watch it. Starring Jinder Mahal as Zack Ryder, Joe Henning as Dolph Ziggler, and Micheal Rapaport as Zacks dad.

Well, I wish it was higher of course.
Still, my traditionally favourite period in WWE is coming up - I tend to find Jan-May the most fun time as WrestleMania focuses the efforts.

the San Francisco 49ers vs. Pittsburgh Steelers game did an 11.70 rating and 16.68 million viewers, one of the better audience numbers in the history of cable television.

Alicia Fox = ratings?
If only WWE'd given her CM Punk's push.

Ouch, Orton and Barrett are ratings poison apparently.

I knew it. Oh how I knew it.
There's a difference between internet/cult over and real over it seems. Now you see why they don't book for the internet?

Which is really unfortunate, because to me, it was something fresh and exciting. Not because it featured the so-called IWC messiahs holding the 3 top titles and dominating the majority of the match, but simply because it showed a willingness to change, evolve, and try new things. Put any other 3 fresh faces into that spot and I'd have the same opinion. All I'm going to say is that I really, really hope it was the football game that caused the drop, and that it isn't an indication of the casual audience's reaction to this new generation, because going back to the old "status quo", as people like to call it, would be pretty depressing.

that's the worst overrun rating I've seen since I started following wrestling ratings. Nothing was at stake in that main event which essentially featured six upper-midcard wrestlers. The PPV, as I have stated, will have bombed. The crowd was dead and there was no promise of anything throughout the show. That match should have taken the mid-show slot and Kane and Cena should have been the overrun segment (which should have been executed much better, too).

Alicia Fox vs John Cena should main event RAW this week.
Holy crap that main event did terrible. 2.67? Hope its not a consistent thing with those guys, although its kinda becoming one for Ryder.

So, wait, the main event featuring two very over wrestlers does a terrible 2.67 while a Divas segment featuring Alicia Fox actually gains viewers?
That, doesn't make much sense.

Well what do you expect guys. Daniel Bryan has been booked like a jobber for months. Why should anyone care about a jobber who is a world champion when he didn't even earn the title?

Truth be told, most MITB winners are booked poorly prior to cashing in. It's a philosophy of the WWE's that I just flat out don't understand. You'd think they'd want them to be booked as strongly as possible so that when they do cash in, the audience can buy them as World Champion. But generally speaking, this hasn't affected ratings in the past, so why should it now?

So... how about that status quo, huh?
Man. The IWC just can't win... The only time they could really bring change to the WWE is by buying merchandise, going to shows and ordering PPVs... aka shelling out cash.

You mean like everyone else? Well, if I pandered to the IWC instead of relying on my usual cash cows and didn't see any visible and positive movement in sales, I'd be pretty worried and start regretting my decisions, too...

I don't think they'll get worried right now. If this keeps up for a month or two then maybe.

Is there are chance that the USA Network could cancel Raw if this trend continues?

This show is an anomaly. Orton & Barrett losing 3/4 of a million viewers and Fox/Phoenix gaining just defies logic.
Let's also take one thing into account. What bad thing happens when you put Punk, Bryan, and Ryder in the same match? Michael F***ing Cole. Who wants to listen to Cole be Cole? Cole has buried these guys at EVERY opportunity. Fans don't want to be subjected to that. There are other fans that may take Cole at his word that these guys are garbage. Long story short, Michael Cole is a detriment to the product and they don't give a single rat's ass.
