I didn't suggest it because they are both black. I suggested it because they have a lot in common. They are both around the same age and both have had a huge resurgence in their careers. Maybe you are just the one making the black connection instead of thinking more into it? That might not have been your reasoning for it but let's not pretend that tendency doesn't exist, okay? Some board members do have a ridiculous obsession for just teaming up random Black people so they can grind more meat out of "New Nation" mentions. Hell, how long did this topic go on before someone brought it up...? I'm still trying to get what's so funny about it.

No, they have nothing in common other than being black. Actually I view them as a YokOwen type pairing, two relatively different styles teaming for mutual benefit. Both have defined characters and and gravitas enough to even give us comedy of BookDust proportions. Creative could definitely build a division around that, Perfect team to give Cole his managing start.

Truth works best as a heel but Mark is more of a bunion. Brilliant.

They had nothing in common really but some how they just meshed together really well. Owen and Bulldog meshed together really well too.

No, they have nothing in common other than being black. Bullshit. They were both happy go lucky babyfaces that managed to completely reinvigorate their careers by becoming awesome heels.

That and, honestly what did Truth and Miz have in common? Or MVP and Henry? Or Cody and McIntyre? Or Henry and Bourne? Or Jericho and Show? I'd say yes to this team. Mark Henry would be the perfect straight man to Crazy R-Truth, and they have potential to become the new JeriShow.

Yea, this is actually one of the better ideas I've read on this board. It's also a good way to keep Henry out of the title scene without making him look weak.

Just like grouping Canadians (Team Canada, Un-Americans), Hispanics (Los Boricuas, Mexican America), Britons (British Invasion), even jobbers (JOB Squad) or high-carders (Four Horsemen, Main Event Mafia). Either way, I do think that they have that one extra thing in common, in that they both used to pander to the crowd before turning heel and becoming awesome in the process. But then again, that's about where it ends; they're styles clash (no pun intended), they're personalities clash, they aren't even the same kind of heel, so it probably wouldn't work out too well anyway.

I think that McGillicutty and Riley would make a decent tag team... OH SH- I mean... Uh... I meant to say McGillicutty and Yoshi Tatsu... Really dodged a racist bullet there...

It's a trope stable that irritates the hell out of me just because I know it was a riff on the Nation of Islam. I thought general consensus was that stable, along with Boricuas and DoA were wretched stable tropes from a wretched idea that didn't need revisiting. And I'm normally against the pairing of two singles guys into a tag-team because ideas are low. Maybe I wouldn't if the WWE were serious about making tag-teams mean something and these guys could help put that over. I don't expect it just yet, WWE has got years of apathy to live down. I just see Truth and Henry turning into a joke as a tag-team.

I'm not sure. R-Truth as a heel is the most I've liked him in a long time. And Hall of Pain Mark Henry is the most I've liked him in a long time too. On paper, it would be awesome. But pairing guys up doesn't always seem to work.

I was just talking to a friend over the phone about this! what we discussed was that instead of a tag team push, you run a storyline where Teddy gets fired as GM of SmackDown. Feeling shafted over being fired " cause he's black", he resurrects Thuggin N' Buggin Enterprise with Otunga as his advisor/legal council. Truth is the first to sign up, with Henry to follow shortly after. Round it off with the Uso's you put the cherry on the top with the edition of... {Spoiler}Kharma. So not as a tag team but as part of a Faction? I'm lovin it.

As great as Truth is as a heel, he's coming back as a monster babyface and he's going to be insanely over. Crazy Truth = huuuuge face. Can Truth be paired with Zack Ryder then just for the theme song alone... Woo Woo Woo...You Know It! DA TROOF HAS SET ME FREE....

I think the team would work largely because "quicker guy with flashy moves+ big guy who cleans house" tends to make for good tag teams.
