Bryan makes a former WWE Champion and a former WHC tap in the same week. I guess WWE really are trying their hardest to make him seem credible in the eyes of the kayfabe audience.

Yeah, it's really a shame what's happened with Swagger as he definitely has all the tools to be a top guy. Unfortuately he got a really raw deal from that awful World Title run they gave him last year and he just hasn't recoverd. I think sometime next year they will probaly turn face which will lead to him getting rejuvenated a bit as everyone knows when you turn face you get superpowers and magically become a better wrestler (Punk, Sheamus, Dibiase). Hopefully it happens for him though because he has no credability as a heel right now.

Maybe it's just me, but I've never really seen anything in Jack Swagger that would make me buy him as a top guy.

WWE has no idea what to do with him, honestly his title reign started great, but they just started making him LOSE ALL THE TIME. If you lose all the time you will end up with no credibility.

I dunno about that. Mark Henry spent damn near his entire career floating between lower midcarder, joke character, and trope big guy; now he's probably the best heel they've had all year. Swagger has way more talent and his whole career ahead of him. He'll rebound. I always hold out hope for that, because last year, pretty much everything he did was golden. The "Swaggie", the Swagger Soaring Eagle, Bunkhouse Buck as his dad, etc.. So, since I mark out to him, it bugs me to see him lose consistantly. But, thankfully, he won't have to deal with Ted DiBiase this week. It's strange that a guy whoops Jinder Mahal, and yet Jinder gets more air time. Its because they constantly try to portray Swagger as this big, arrogant badass who can break your ankle without breaking a sweat. Thing is, Swagger is just too much of a goof. He's great doing the cheesy heel comedy stuff, much like what Kurt Angle used to do. Have him be the big, arrogant guy who is so over the top with his gimmicks, like the Swagger Soaring Eagle and the Swaggie (it tastes like freedom!) and then can still kick your ass. Serious Swagger = Good wrestler but kinda bland Goofy Swagger = Good wrestler and entertaining
