Taker vs Sting has that dream match feel to it. I was REALLY amped about that when we all thought 2.22.11 was Sting.
As for this year, I dont want HHH because their last match was a car crash in the sense that HHH killed the guy and still couldnt win. that match made the Streak look ENORMOUS. When HHH crawls across the ring in shock after the Tombstone kick out, that to me is one of the Streaks best moments.

I can't see it being anyone other than Triple H. I loved the match they had last year so I wouldn't be opposed to it anyway.
Sting would be ideal but I can't see it happening. I don't think he'll ever get into a WWE ring. I hope that "losing" isn't ever a contributing factor in his decision. The guy has had a tremendous career and one loss isn't going to tarnish it. I mean, the pay day alone for ONE match would be incredible.

WWE won't hire Sting because they want everyone who wrestles for them, bar their own self made legends like Taker and HHH and now The Rock, to wrestle (sorry, "entertain") full time. If they were to bring Sting in, because of Vince's reluctance to push non WWE guys, Sting would have the Taker match and then be lost in the shuffle. Hell, he'd probably end up NXT Redemption.
Sting also has a really comfortable schedule in TNA, that doesn't require him to travel all over the country every night per week. He said in an interview with Fighting Spirit Magazine here in the UK that he HAD talked to WWE last year about joining them, but then decided against it because he felt TNA suited him better.
I too disliked the WM match with HHH last year and do not want to see another one like it.
I think Lesnar or even Austin would be the only thing that could stand on an equal footing with Rock/Cena.

Honestly, the only person that I'd be interested in seeing Taker face at Mania not named Cena at this point is Jericho.

I'm still thinking Sheamus or Mark Henry will try to end the streak.

I would LOVE to see Lesnar/UT, but it probably won't happen.

Why not Kevin Nash? Streak vs. career as part of the Trips-as-COO storyline. Injuries aside (for both men), it would be the old school vs. Clique; Nash as heel has continued to bring up his role in the Clique's dominance in both WWF and WCW, all while denigrating HHH's "selling out." A better old-schooler than Trips would have to answer Nash; why not the man who taped his fists and made Shawn do the job? This has worked shoot all over it, in a good way.

That match would be absolutely atrocious, so please no. And there is absolutely no point to another Triple H match, storyline wise it doesn't make nearly as much since as HBK/Taker II did. Wade Barrett and Jericho are the only two that make sense.

I would be happy with Jericho, Henry, Sheamus, Foley or even Orton having another go considering how good the build and the match itself was between them.
I would put Sting in that catagory but it just seems too unlikely now after last year (how long is his contract with TNA now?)
Ideally any of the above for this year and then the double main event for Mania 29 would be Austin/Punk and Taker/Cena. Takers final Mania.

What about Taker vs. Punk? I mean, there's really nobody that Punk could have a WWE title match with at WM that would feel all that special (besides Daniel Bryan I suppose). Doesn't necessarily have to be for the belt. I feel like they are the only pairing that could come close to putting on a Taker/HBK caliber match. Jericho would be interesting too but it's too much of a longshot right now.

I think it will be Punk. WWE is trying hard to make him a megastar and for 20-0 they need to either use a legend, which they really don't have any left, or someone who they want to be the next big thing.

I'm probably just stating the obvious here, but how about Zack Ryder?

It has to be Triple H again. With Cena tied up, he's the only person on the roster who would give the match that mega match feel like the past few Taker WM matches. Add a career vs. streak stip and make Shawn Michaels referee and you have a huge semi-main event for WM.
As far as people not on the roster who could return/debut: I think there's zero chance of Brock Lesnar or Sting coming in. Mick Foley is in terrible shape and judging by his TNA run he can no longer have the type of matches he had even as late as 04 with Orton or 06 with Edge. I love Chris Jericho, but no one whatsoever is going to buy that he could beat Undertaker at WM and at this point that's equally as important as having the ability to put on a good match.

For me the best choice currently on the roster would be CM Punk. This would be massive I think - and also there would be a case for having CM Punk win in order to elevate him to being the man. I want Taker to retire with the streak in tact - but I would accept this if done right. Punk could play on the whole how Taker told him to wear a suit as champion and he refused, leading to him being dropped down the card. He could say how everyone respects him but he doesn't or something to that effect. It would be gold.
Kane I don't want to see again - although it does make sense. Triple H is very possible - especially given the night after WM27 he said when Taker comes back he would be waiting.
Mark Henry and Wade Barrett also make sense from storyline perspectives, but are no where near ready. Jericho is possible - but again I don't think the right man at this moment in time.
Sting, Austin and Lesnar are your dream picks - but I do not see any of them happening.
So I want it to be Punk, but if I was betting I would say it will end up being Triple H again.
How about a scenario where its Taker vs Triple H vs HBK? HBK is bitter he never ended the streak, as is Triple H, both realise they can't beat him individually but together they could get the job done? Of course they would then end up fighting each other due to not being able to decide who gets the streak ending pin- which of course would allow Taker back into it. Would mean HBK going back on his promise to retire- but it would make sense story wise and would be a genuine threat to the streak.
Just some thoughts.

I don't think he's been a babyface long enough to pull that off without the crowd turning him heel in the process, especially if he broke the streak. It'd be great if they somehow got Sting, but I think Triple H is the most logical and likely choice.
