They're not the only four they can add, are they? You've still got Rey, Del Rio, Miz, Sheamus (if they have him drop the belt between now and then) who can enter. Sheamus most certainly won't be losing the belt anytime soon, del Rio will likely end up facing him at Money in the Bank, and Miz is filming a movie. Rey Mysterio could work, but considering he's just coming off an injury, I doubt they'd want to put him in a highly physical Ladder match. Miz can take a night off filming, Rey has been fit for two months, but suspended (which has now ended), so he can work between now and then. Sheamus hasn't got over as Champ, so they could hotshot to to Ziggler who is getting the sort of reactions that could see him dump Vicki on Smackdown to turn face, then pin Del Rio in the triple threat. Sheamus can then turn his attention to the MITB match, knowing that he also has a rematch (and you could even use this to turn him back heel again, if you want more main event heels).

I'm sure all that could happen, but it won't.

Leaving Ziggler to defend against whom?? Christian? Cody? Christian is Intercontinental Champion. Cody Rhodes isn't ready to be in WHC matches yet. Plus he's a heel. If anything, I see both of them in the other Money in the Bank match. Even Christian. I can't see it being a foregone conclusion that the other one will be a "never been champion" ladder match. It's an interesting concept, but there is so much talent to be utilized that have been champions, and while seeing Tyson Kidd and Hunico busting out crazy spots can be fun, what will probably sell more is Christian, Cody Rhodes, Sin Cara, Alberto Del Rio, and a few others. And that isn't to say that this is true at all. Just an observation. I will gladly eat these words to see a potential Christian/Ziggler title match. It just reeks too much of fantasy without being based in reality.

Not terribly excited for it, Big Show, Jericho, and Kane are for the most part boring these days, and Cena has the Batista game genie, so why bother? It will probably be decent, but I don't really care about it.

I'm pretty sure they'll add more people to it. They'll probably add Rey and Miz if they want to make it a 6 man MITB.
Still though, it's obvious Cena is winning this. Big Show doesn't need it, Kane just doesn't stand a chance, Jericho is most likely leaving after the summer. If they add Rey and Miz, than they both won't be winning it. Rey's knee's are shot and Miz (like Kane) doesn't stand a chance.
Besides, any of them could get a Championship by declaring "I want a shot at the WWE Championship" boom, there ya go. They might as well have it be a number 1 contenders match because having only main eventers in the MITB completely erases the reason for the match, to elevate someone.
It elevated Edge into super-stardom, same for The Miz. It was used for RVD to get his first WWE Championship reign, it was used to make Kane relevant again. It was used to push CM Punk and Alberto Del Rio. Now, if Cena win's it, it'll just be another accolade to his list of accomplishments, it won't elevate him, he'll just be walking around with a briefcase he doesn't need.

I keep seeing this point and I don't get it. Its not "Elevate a new guy" briefcase, thats just what they attempt to use it for with mixed results. Anyone can win, and use that in many different ways, but WWE has done it one way and one type of cash in generally and now people think thats its purpose. Its like the Royal Rumble, where the prize is always the same but the angles you can use it for are varied. They just haven't done that with the MITB, and if they're going to do 2 every year they can afford to switch it up.

They'd better really add Miz and Mysterio. You know,it should be at least quite interesting.

I'm looking forward to it. In fact, I expect it to be a great match. And I wouldn't be surprised if Rey gets added to the match on the go-home Raw.
I just want a segment the night after when someone (Big Show or Bryan I would guess) knocks Punk out then Cena slowly walks to the ring with the briefcase with the announcers going crazy speculating about him taking advantage and cashing in only for him to help Punk up and say "see you at Summerslam, champ."

The even sadder thing is that this time last year, Punk was finally getting his big break and put on a classic which seemingly solidified him as a main eventer on Cena's level. Now, at the event which made him a huge star, he'll have to take a back seat to Cena. Yet again. In a match which doesn't even need to be the main event. Devils advocate:The PPV is called Money in the bank,so it makes sense that a MITB match is the main event.Still sucks though. See, at the point when Night of Champions was headlined by a non-title match, TLC was headlined by a Chairs match, and Elimination Chamber was headed by a stretcher match, all bets are off.

Also, I said this in another MITB thread and I'll preface again by saying this is awful short term business (just because it would probably be a surprise).... but I think the Rock should win MITB if he's available to work the show. And the chances have now gone up from 1 in million to 1 in 100K. This was my thought. It would be a horrible idea to have The Rock be a surprise entrant (who doesn't even enter until everyone is down and out) from the perspective that not advertizing him for the show costs MitB buys, but if he's carrying around the briefcase, suddenly every show and every PPV is must see for Rock fans who are just waiting for the inevitable cash-in. Also creates a really simple way to make Rock-Cena II at Mania. That said, I personally loathe this idea, which is why I think it'll happen.

I think they're going to use the match to:
A) "Injure" Chris Jericho for the Summer B) Reignite everyone's favorite feud - Big Show vs. Kane C) Have Cena win the briefcase only to go on and lose his title match

I'm a bit surprised to see a more positive reaction here than I thought there would be.
BUT...
I am not surprised to see those who hate Cena who automatically think that any match centered around him is guaranteed to be a dud. I know I won't be shocked that Monday morning when I read about how many people are legitimately surprised that the match was actually pretty solid, with a decent degree of credit for it going Cena's way.

It says alot that people are clamoring for a Miz return to make the ppv match more interesting. And what's the big deal about that? Miz is a great guy for the MITB match. In 2010,he won the case and cut a great promo afterwards which seemed like he really said what he felt. In 2011,he sold his knee injury like a champ, and his return got a huge pop, while leading boos to Mysterio. Mysterio's deal is pretty much obvious. So yeah,Miz and him would be great additions to this match.

When I think of wrestlers to hit a big spot or two for the match, Miz is one of the last wrestlers I would choose. I honestly don't remember any big MITB moments involving the Miz. Last year, he sold his injury great, becasue he suppossed to do that. In Chi-town, the crowd would, more than likely, cheer for the Heel and not the Face. Miz returning to the match won't rate in my top ten MITB moments. Mysterio's deal is pretty much obvious. So yeah,Miz and him would be great additions to this match.

I'm looking forward to it, maybe because it's the kind of match I'd sim on a Smackdown game.

4 guys that shouldn't be in a MITB. Former champions defeats the purpose. Plus only 4? None of these guys need it at all.
