I've noticed that every now and then, SmackDown seems to throw a killer party for whatever reason. And while this one didn't have an epic food fight like in 1999, or wasn't exactly as crazy as the one from the 10 year celebration in 2009 (which, in no particular order, had drunk Michael Cole throwing up on Chris Jericho, Iron Sheik stealing Zack Ryder's catchphrase, Kung Fu Naki and Yoshi Tatsu on karaoke, CM Punk trying to enact prohibition), it still had some fun stuff (Eve Torres getting Carrie'd with the punch, Heath Slater getting pelted with rubbish, Kane using his powers to light the barbecue).
Any other highlights from tonight and other parties (and weddings are parties too, so they can be mentioned)?

What I don't understand is how they can have a barbecue thrown by an old black man, and they don't play any old school R&B/Funk on the stereo?
No Maze and Frankie Beverly? No One Way? No Johnnie Taylor? No Cameo?
I am disappoint, Teddy Long.

Has anyone else noticed only Smackdown seems to get parties?
And it's always in that same room that looks like a lounge.

Why is it that jobbers seem to be the only ones that get invited to these parties?

Raw's a bit too serious for parties to be honest. SD feels more like a "home" a laid-back go in, wrestle, chill and work atmosphere. Everything like that there. It's all incorporated in one area. Raw on the other hand always seems to be some type of battlefield. Either they have someone running lose or a major problem or even 2 stars attacking other stars in which everyone goes to SD it's just a more serious show I guess. Either way it's all good.

I was just going to start a thread about how not-fun these parties look. There's usually a handful of guys and divas standing in a semi-circle, looking awkward. I can't put my finger on exactly what they're missing, they just give you the feeling that nothing at all is happening unless the camera is on them that moment.
I think back to say, Butcher Vachon's wedding on the old TNT show. That just came across as an actual crazy wedding reception that we were just getting bits and pieces of here and there.
Maybe put them in a room that doesn't look like an interview set, make it more crowded, tell everyone to mingle, have some music, some ambient sounds, maybe that would help.

Kaitlyn in a bikini top and short shorts was a highlight to me.

Yeah, the parties are always cheaply decorated and overly lit so that it looks like an elementary school party or something. I noticed lately that I'm always ignoring the "comedy" that's going on in the foreground and just focus entirely on what the background guys are doing. I for one would have really liked to know what Johnny Curtis, Hunico, and Camacho were talking about when they were hanging out.

The first thing I thought of when I read the thread title was 'VINTAGE SHRIMP!'

I like Natalya and everything but can she talk about anything other than her family?

Why is it that jobbers seem to be the only ones that get invited to these parties? I was hoping that one of the party scenes would show Cena sitting somewhere in the background, while the camera was focusing on people like Curtis and Natalya.

I can't put my finger on exactly what they're missing, they just give you the feeling that nothing at all is happening unless the camera is on them that moment. Like I mentioned in a previous thread, I get subjected to these things like once every two weeks for office parties and other random gatherings.
